I would say that is not only at South Gibson.

There is always going to be upset parents in high school sports so you will have to deal with that regardless!

South Gibson will not compete with South Side and the other side of that region is not a cake walk for sure. Hardin County and Chester will both be pretty good. McNairy and Lexington not so much but the semi final game of the region will be tough for South Gibson.

you would think a state tournament team is going to bring back some good players for sure. They should be good, Especially in the lower classification they will be playing in next season.

Are These jobs gonna be open at the end of the school? If schools don’t decide soon they will make it very difficult for a the next coach. They have already missed the entire spring off season and summer starts in less than 3 weeks.

5 openings in West Tennessee and it is May 5. Will South Gibson ever get someone to take the job. Who would want to follow the USJ coach? Tough Dyersburg seems most appealing to me. Bolivar and Ripley about the same.

This is exactly right! You can be a great coach and not have players and get beat and be an average coach and have great talent and win.

When I look at Coach Runyon's record over the past 3 seasons his team got better every year. He Went 19-8 this year finished second behind South Side. So he seems to be able to develop talent. I read an article that stated the Superintendent and Board wanted a change. Rumor is the principal didn't agree with the decision. Sounds like he got railroaded out of Lexington. Time will tell whether this is a good hire or not but I don't see anything that will put up a red flag.
