I just hope the kids and coaches don't have the same mindset. That is how upsets happen. You are more than welcome to look past them, but in my opinion we absolutely cannot. While I do think we win by a large margin we won't if we do not take them seriously.

After reading about what happened in the Boone game, I think the Wolves are going to get in that wing t offense and try to hold on to the ball as long as they can. Trying to keep it close for as long as possible

Those stoppages with TV there lasted significantly longer. Change of possession in high school football is not a long stoppage the only ones that were probably normal length were the 2 injuries and the change of quarter. Every other one added time to the night. It was a 2 hour first half

Ah you don’t get it. Every one of those breaks took time. With the TV commercials, it made that time go longer before the team could go back out on the field. That’s what affected us not getting the game finished before the storms. Normal game tempo is much faster than what transpired last night. radio has to fit their commercials in, when TV is there they control how long in-between drives/timeouts.

You must have been watching 2 years ago DB Greeneville game. I know I saw a GASSED Devil team in the second quarter. That game doesn’t get stopped, you are probably seeing more huffing and puffing as it goes on. That was physical game and for a school that size they didn’t have the depth that DB has on the OL and DL some of those guys never came off the field. Would have been another really good finish. Too bad

Let’s get it started. Going to be a rowdy one out by the airport this week. personally I don’t think it’s going to be close. I know some think WR is better, but I’ll have to be proven wrong.

Was moved to 7:30 from 7 because it was the TV game for WCYB. Also there seemed to be 1000 TV timeouts for commercials. This game wasn’t able to be finished 100% because of that. A normal 7 pm kickoff no TV station it would have been over well before

Man frustrating way to end what look like was going to be another close finish in Kingsport. My thoughts, the kids battled, especially after the 1st play (again) and responded well. Still obviously there were some mistakes, but seems to be a decent amount of crow to be had in this thread. GVille has a dang good football team and I think our Indians are pretty dang good as well, just inexperienced. Also think about this last night we were down our starting safety and one of our starting WRs. Love that we scheduled some tough non region teams. These past two games will go a whole lot farther for us than playing TN High and Volunteer week 1 and 2 like the past couple years.

Some of y’all are either nuts or ignorant on here. Maybe just don’t know much about the game of football. I expect a good game tonight. Obviously pulling for my Indians, but no matter what I thinks it’s a battle. Heck nobody really knows until they step inside those lines. I liked a lot of what we did last week against Farragut and you have to realize that a ton of these kids have never played varsity football before. I read the quote as Joey wasn’t exactly thrilled to be at the jamboree rather than the performance. He said in the paper the starters only worked goal line offense so I guess we take that with a grain of salt. Also after seeing pictures, it was an absolute monsoon.

I’m sure some people will not be happy with that. But me yes. A win is a win. Let’s go get ‘em. I’m sure tonight will not be that exciting. Historically we don’t care too much about a jamboree. I always remember years ago everyone shows up in their game jerseys to these things and we typically just have practice uniforms on.
