In my opinion, Strickland would have been the best pure running back SP would have faced at least in the regular season and through 3 rounds of the playoffs.  That said, SP will be losing 1 of their best running backs.  We still have a couple of starting running backs and QB coming back next year.   2 of them have break away capability anywhere on the field.  Furthermore, the back you referred to may not have played that night except on defense due to injuries.  We will be looking forward to showing you what a home field welcome is all about.

A fake pirate ship with some smoke and music isn’t that intimidating

Yes and the Red Bank coach watches film on Sunday.  They could have played the game at 11 pm.  He had the home office down from TSSAA that gave him good cover.  Soddy-Daisy played.  Hixon played.  Boyd played.  Lookout Valley played.  But that is o.k.   RB gets to go to South Pittsburg next year without the QB or Strickland.

Strickland is just a junior along with all the other running backs.  You all are the ones losing your best back.  See you next year.

Why was Coach Brown ejected from the Sweetwater game?

Because they had players diving into knees of engaged players and Coach Brown asked the officials to watch.  It happened again with a kid getting injured without penalty.  I guess the officials didn’t care about the safety of our players and obviously Coach Brown does so he was upset.

I have seen a lot of high school football, but that had to be the worst officiated game I have ever seen.  The score was 49-10 with maybe 3 minutes left when they ejected Coach Brown for coming on the field (while he had an injured player on the ground) so the game was essentially over.  I thought a coach could step onto the field with a player down?  I hope the film of this game gets sent to the TSSAA for review.  That crew needs to be reprimanded for the lack of safety of the players.

Yea, I agree. We had their fans outnumbered. I pulled into the stadium at 5:30 and the away stands were already full. We always travel well though. Big time electric atmosphere between two undefeated teams at Beene in 2 weeks! Swafford will be the best player SP sees all year.

Kind of weird that the away stands were full at 5:30 when the gate didn’t open until 5:30.  There might have been 4 people walk up when the gate opened.

This is a Tough Game to predict. Red Bank is untested and South Pittsburg hasnt played a Stellar opponent..  Its going to be hard for South Pittsburg to go into Red Bank and Win. BUT South Pittsburg will and always travels better than any 1A Team. The if's ..  IF South Pittsburg can avoid Stupid Penalties and our Offensive line gets off the Ball we can Win. I believe tje Defense can hold Red Bank under 24 Points. So of The Pirates can score mpre than 24 they Win. We have to have 3 or more 3 and outs and Capitalize on that! My prediction is South Pittsburg 28 Red Bank 21

I don’t know how you can say untested.  Red Bank opened at 2018 5A region champ Soddy Daisy, who returned pretty much their whole offense.  At 6A Ooltewah, and at the time, at 4A state ranked East Hamilton.

Your mind is made up about the mighty Lions with the not so mighty schedule, so I will not argue. I'll just say told you so next week. You just better hope # 5 plays the game of his life because that is the only prayer you have. He is the only reason RB won Saturday.

I don’t know what game your talking about,  Red Bank played Friday.  Friday nights game, if I recall, #5 had one of the four scores for Red Bank.  The sophomore running back had 130 yards and a TD.  You keep talking about the schedule but the bottom line is they still lost.

Two can play that game. On the first drive Sequatchie was driving down Red Bank’s throat but fumbled. The field was wet. As a result, there were fumbled snaps and dropped balls on the Indians side too. No way Red Bank should have won by 20. Don’t worry, your eyes will be open next week when the Bees win by two or three scores.

Driving down their throat?  They fumbled at midfield.  Dropped passes in the end zone are a tad different than the fifty yard line.

Using smith county as a gauge is just as ludicrous.  When the teams you mentioned played Smith their kids had some fight in them.  From talking to my friends from Carthage their kids packed it in few weeks ago and was ready for basketball.

That was my point.  You can’t gauge one score versus a team against the score of a different team against said team.  I guess you didn’t understand what I meant.

They barely beat Signal. That let’s me know Sequatchie will have a chance.

That was Red Bank’s second game and they were not completely healthy then.  To try to use that game as a comparison of how they have been playing lately is ludicrous.  Red Bank had a running clock on Smith County.  Neither Sequatchie, York, or Upperman did so does that mean Red Bank will automatically win against all of those teams?  I am not saying it won’t be a competitive game but you can’t use that as a gauge.

I think it will be closer than what's projected. Most of Smith counties losses came against good teams. Red Banks opponents probably has the lowest winning percentage of any team in the playoffs. Based of their schedule I don't see why people think they are so good. One things for certain. These region 4 opponents will be the best competition they have had all season. Definitely going to get hit harder in the mouth than they have all year. Looks like they had 2 opponents around .5000 everyone else was a 1-3 win team. And they had some close games in there. I really don't see red bank making it past sequatchie if they do get this one. Uhs, Watertown, York, Livingston, sequatchie probably all better than anyone red bank played. And those are Smith counties losses.

Red Bank played three teams out of that region in the playoffs last year.  York and Smith were blowouts and Sequatchie was the only team that was within one score.  Smith was the #1 seed, York was #2.  Upperman was #3 and lost in the first round.  I believe Red Bank has played this style of football before so it’s not like they have never seen it.  The real question is can region 4 play fast enough to keep up with region 3.
