Cornersville will have to figure out how to defend two different offenses. Will Petty or Ashworth be QB? You will find out Saturday! Perfecting your defense for both will be difficult in such a short time. Whitwell will be just fine!!

It’s only logical for the Div II to play on Thursday since they had last week off. If they did that you have teams that played Friday Night get that extra day like they had all season.

On that same note, two of the Mr. Football finalist are out of the playoffs leaving only Cornersville's  Whitaker. Would be interesting if Greenback's Bryce Hanley gets it as some have alluded to earlier as hands down. 

Petty has nothing to prove. He stepped up Friday when our QB got hurt and did a job that was unbelievable. His leadership is impeccable. We know he’s great and don’t need some award to tell us otherwise. If anything needs proven it’s Petty showed up Hanley Friday Night.

No we weren’t. Maybe in post season but not regular season unless you’re looking at Bass’s rankings. Greenback, S Pitt , Huntingdon, Cornersville. We did move to 4 after our win against SP in regular season.

We haven’t been ranked better than 5 all year. Haters are always going to hate. We are okay with that. Unless you are part of this community you don’t know how special this team is. These boys have one goal and are focused. They don’t quit so don’t expect us to lay down and roll over, we aren’t dogs but Tigers! I know it’s early but of course I got Whitwell bringing home the Gold Ball. When TC does the same in 2A , the smiles won’t be removable from our faces! Maybe then the sports writers will show us some recognition.

I am taking TC! Our boys still say they were the toughest to play that’s after playing S Pitt twice and Greenback. There are some forces you don’t want to be reckoned with..... Best of Luck TC, we might see you wondering around in Cookeville!

Well most respected Whitwell plus at that time we were fully loaded. Our offense took a huge blow 2 weeks ago and the GB boys still almost pulled out a victory against a Whitwell team with playmakers intact. Losing our #20 before halftime hurt as well. Really good defensive player. A couple bad defensive plays on GB hurt and we were one dimensional. Congrats to Whitwell....it was in the stars and meant to be long before tonight.

Our QB was out too! That was huge. He did manage the pain and came back for a play here and there but not to his full potential. Y’all played a great game and thank you!

Piratetom, you’re an okay guy! I definitely have faith in our boys and am loving this season! We’ve been under rated, not by y’all but the Press hasn’t had Faith in us yet and still doesn’t. Best of luck to both teams and prayers for injury free game!

I recall earlier in the regular season reading that the only team in GB’s way to another State Championship game was S Pitt. Well, here is the unrecognized playing for a trip to Cookeville. Don’t underestimate the Tigers because they are hungry. They played like crap last week and are aware of that. Now that the bad game is out of the way they can focus on their goal. Praying for an injury free game for both teams and Happy Thanksgiving!
