Where all is Desmond Thomas looking at playing at the next level? Kid played his butt off and showed who the best RB on the field was. Funny I was ridiculed for saying if Isiah Groves went for 150 plus ER would win and so many chirped in saying he was going to do that win or lose and likely would get 250. Great performance by Riverside defense holding him under 120 yards. ER cost theirselves in the end on the last drive when it was 3rd and short with the chop block but most that have watched them were holding their breath because it has been a common theme all year. ER will have great chance to be back though. Congratulations again to Riverside! Great season but tell Coach Frost thought to keep his hat on next time on TV. I am just keeping it real

A few D2 offers he will be playing LB at the next level

It wouldn't surprise me of Frost moved on after this season. He's a special coach and there are plenty of programs willing to pay big $$$ to get him.

He’s been offered in the past bigger and much higher paying jobs and has said no but I’ve heard there’s some real nice offers on the table this year hopefully we can keep him around

I said it a week ago that ER was not built to be punched in the mouth every single play. ER was unfortunately all hype. Hoped for a better game

over and over and over and over and over.
In all seriousness ER was much better than I expected as a team I thought they would lay down after being punched in the mouth on the first drive, with that being said #1 is darn good but was overrated by the East TN posters he’s probably top 5-10 RB in the state not the best Riversides front 7 showed out tonight. Not the cleanest Offensive game for the Panthers a mishandled snap and drops really kept this from being a 2 score game.

Riverside just saw a lot of good football players play their last game and Huntington Milan and Peabody were young this year gonna be a slug fest in every region game next year the winner of the region will most likely see ER this time next year.

ER last 3 games have been dominating wins against Marion, Smith, and York.  The latter of those the entire opponent's raison d etre was trying to snap a kids leg in half. They have grown up.

One thing in Panthers' favor...they were here last year.  But Indians will have best player.

Which team is faster.  Which team is tougher in trenches. That will be huge.

    Coaching..I'll give it to Riverside.

Players win games.  I'm betting on Groves.  It's the best and easiest argument for ER winning.

I don’t think the Key for ER to win will be in the trenches or running the ball it will be getting the ball to #2 and not getting down early.

I’ll give you my thoughts now. They’re a really great football team. Solid balanced offense with a great QB, hard running RB and talented receivers. Defense is really good too. D-line is the second best ER has faced all year, Smith County’s was better imho, LB’s are going to be toughest they’ve seen, and secondary is better than average. Overall the experience of playing in the championship last year will play in their favor. Make no mistake they are the favorites, but East is the more talented team.

Smith’s defensive line was Huge but pretty slow especially the NT I believe riversides smaller quicker D-line will be better equipped to slow down #1 because no one except for maybe #25 for riverside can tackle him 1on1 you have to gang tackle him and everyone getting a hand on him will be needed also Smith county didn’t rotate a lot and those big boys we’re getting tired riverside rolls near 7-8 kids out there on a drive.

Saw where Riverside has a gofundme set up for $18K for travel.

Can someone break that down where I can understand that exhorbant cost, please ?

The charter busses they got for the trip to Chattanooga last year was around $3000 this year just the busses have more than tripled in price plus hotel last year they stayed a night at MTSU and a night at Chattanooga with about 100 staff/players plus food. That’s the cost won’t get on my soapbox but I think it’s a bad look begging for money that’s being used on non essential things like a charter bus

What offers do they have.  I know er has kids with tn, mz, ky offers bit bottom line is if you stop the rb then you will beat er.  He is the motor that makes them go.

I know their WR/S #1 had and a few others had FCS offers but the thing with Fairley was everyone on their Defense outside of their Dline was as fast as all of our skill players so even when Riverside opened big holes and broke tackles they would chase everyone down from behind so it limited big plays and made them drive the length of the field.
