But they don’t throw the ball, Springfield does.

He's talking about the pitch in their option. Their QB will be their downfall. QB is shaky. If he even thinks hes getting hit he pitches the ball wildly.  In addition hes not even an option running the ball.

Its hard to explain it to people unless they see it live.  The only way Maplewood even comes close is by throwing the ball.  We ( those of us who have seen Greeneville live) know running the ball against them aint happening.

I've seen them live, and they're good. I cant wait to see it. I think Greeneville will be surprised at the athleticism of Maplewood. I'm not saying they will win, but I think it's a close game.

There are people who think Maplewood has as much talent as Greeneville does? That's laughable.

I think you're equating talent with offers. Maplewood has kids with D1 offers. Just because a kid is talented doesn't always equal big offers. Exposure, family support, winning on a consistent basis, finances, facilities, and connections play a major part in some of these offers.  How many talented kids get looked over because they play on a terrible team?? Maplewood has a COUPLE of kids that can't be covered 1 on 1 by any one on Greenevilles roster.  Now Greeneville may have the ability to scheme against them.  I'm hoping for this match up.

Tullahoma weakness is the coaching they have players on the field in the wrong position and they will have to open up the offense to beat Maplewood they do not throw the ball down the field enough to help the run game r spread it to there athletes enough to beat Maplewood they have to change that Friday night if they do Tullahoma wins

Coaching is a big deal wouldnt you agree.  You can have all the athletes in the world if you have them playing out of position, and calling bad plays that's a major problem. That's all you had to say. Maplewood by at least 14.

Hey guys, not sure if this will help or not, but here is something I posted over on the 5A/6A site a couple of days ago:

I would like to see one champion from each of the 95 counties, regardless of school size.    Then have a 95-way playoff which would last until approximately the basketball finals and there is only one school left standing.    Think about it, the football and basketball finals right together, wouldn't that be cool?

    Lol.  Wow

So you have a four team region (obviously all teams make the playoffs)

    Millington 3-6 LEADS this region!

    Fayette-Ware  3-6

    Craigmont 2-7

    Memphis East 0-8

You've got an entire region at sub-500 with an automatic playoff berth....  Anybody else see the problem here??   WE HAVE TOO MANY CLASSES!   Now that we've had the Privates move to Division II, does somebody at TSSAA do the right thing and drop Division I down to four classes???

Ridiculous.  They need to add 2 teams a piece to 4A 6 and 7.

Nolensville should have beaten Maplewood the 1st time they played them and I am confident our coaches will be able to make adjustments to beat them. You guys acting like this Maplewood team is the 97 Pearl team. They are beatable.

Of course they're beatable.  Just not by Nolensville. Lol

i agree on the fact that when you got things rolling i wanna keep playing..i hate byes unless your banged up. With that said I dont think that bye is what made us struggle. Our defense is just not very good especially against the run. My fear is that will be heavily exposed in the playoffs. Offensively still explosive.

    I agree

I think it's wide open from the mountains all the way to the big river in 4a.I'm about as conservative about talking a lot of trash as they come.I'd much rather watch the Devils celebrating another championship and not say squat,as pound a big drum and let everyone know we are coming first.Sure we have a great team but anyone can be beat and I'd rather our guys just keep working as to stop and listen to how great they are.The Devils need to clean up a lot of mistakes and not take anything for granted when the playoffs get here.Let the Devils, Fulton and KC remember only a couple years ago in 4a when it was all about which one of the three would win it all. They all got beat before the semi's.Nothing is a given and when you get to cocky, somebody might just kick your azz ..Oh, to my brother BVD,I guess I've never been cocky

You're right.  Greeneville is the early favorite to repeat, but it's some good teams out there this year.

You are out of your mind. Like I said Maplewood goes down in the 2nd round book it.

Bro. Help me out. Make a call.  Who are they going to lose to in the 2nd Rd?  So who do you think has more talent on their roster than Maplewood in 4A? Because that's what I said. Greeneville is probably the only one even close.
