I get it, I get it. You are worried about our size and speed. Welcome to the show! I think we have all been asking the same questions. Who will step up? Who will be that players to replace (in your opinion) the only talent OR has ever had. I think we all saw the games last year and we can all agree that the Offense was stagnant at best. The mass majority of positive yardage plays were broken and the team relied on Booker to make something positive happen out of nothing. That's a coaching issue and will agree that it'll translate to bigger issues this year because we dont have the same size and speed. The way I see it is..this is on the OC - Little development of kids who have the potential to step up, bad clock management and bad play calling. You toss the three of these into the bag of speed and size issues and you get one fat question mark.........Will the OC make the best use of the talent he has on the field? That is the question of the season...and will agree, speed is an issue on offense....that and a history of questionable offensive play calling.

I guess we all missed your point? On one hand you continue to discredit #44's speed...yet you've got zero factual information to prove your point. On the other hand, you discredit the team's speed all together. You sure you belong on this OR Wildcat forum? You might consider chatting it up with the Clinton or Wartburg folk? They might value your words of 'wisdumb'.

What on earth does doing good work around town have anything to do with "enough speed to go the distance"?? You kind of write like a former FB player who never saw any playing time....Clinton maybe?

I think at the beginning of last season the head ball coach said it was his smallest team ever....guess this team is smaller?? The O line at least has some returning starters..and who knows....the QB has an arm, probably more accurate than his predecessor however going to be really hard to replace a guy like Booker. Last season could have been very bad had it not been for his legs and ability to create plays out of nothing.

Any new updates on practices? I may venture up to OR to have a look next week. Hearing lots of positive things from folks. Very curious about the O this year. I know Gibbons has been working hard, just wondering about the WRs and RBs. Our O Line should be better than last year.

I think the OC needs to start spreading the ball, invest in a crop of WRs...the team has speed and talent... he tends to focus on 1-2 guys and expects them to win the game. We all know how that turned out...even with a 5 star WR.

How did our WRs look? I heard there was a lot of confusion on routes?

"Very good" HS LB....I'm going to take a stab at this one..... Was confirmed that he was selected to play in the Blue Grey All American Bowl Game.....at an NFL VENUE....on ESPN....easy to give him the label of "GREAT" LB. How many other LBs from TN were selected to play in that game?????

Agreed, he is a throw back Butkus like LB with big hitting capabilities. I can only speculate what he'd be like in the backfield.....that would be fun to see. Do we even have a power back/FB???? Kid is fast, only makes sense to see him in the goal line situations. he played TE??? In Jr High at bearden?? He has good hands?

Saw the guys at practice. Looking sharper, improving and lots of new guys getting rotated in on offense. Heard rumor from one of the guys there that Jacob Adams got called up to the Blue Grey Bowl Game roster in Texas. Nothing on his twitter so probably a rumor IMO.

Replogle as backup QB is probably the best idea I've heard all year. That would be a nice move, as well as him kicking the ball. He is a utility guy, I'm sure we'll see him playing both sides of the ball and special teams the entire season.

That is a better report than most news outlets put out. Thank you so much. I think one of the biggest areas of concern is the backup QB; hope we never need one but if we do, we are going to be a run option team. DBs are a major concern as well. Replogle can't do it all, though he certainly tries. I think Cole Adams is headed to a rover type role; he'll play DB and LB depending on the offensive scheme. RBs are strong; K Jackson and is a beast there as well as Romano if needed. Kicking game...I think I saw some new punters last week but couldnt figure out of they were actual punters or just kids messing around. Replogle is a varsity soccer player. I wonder if they've asked him to try it out?

Agreed, maybe they (boosters?) will update their webpage and provide some insight? I hear chatter darn near daily but its the same group of guys who occasionally watch their practice. On the other side of it, proud that people even engage on this topic...good or bad...at least OR can claim there are fans of the programs.

Agreed! It's like debating the world is flat or a globe all over again? Facts are facts (laser technology, Blue Grey Integrity/History, etc.) Let's drop and move on!!!
