Between the repercussions of this "brawl", the overall poor season, and the Rebel Mascot situation I think FC could be in line for a mass exodus following football season. Tullahoma and Huntland will be the primary beneficiaries probably, with Moore County possibly seeing an addition or two as well.
All speculation at this point, but I don't see how any of the Parents/Kids wanting to leave will be forced to sit out a year either. They can file a hardship waiver claiming issues relating to the mascot. I.E. Anyhting regarding racism or racial tension caused by the conversation regarding the mascot. FC would not be able to deny a single one.

Not sure what you mean...”when to five up”?? Is Warren County forfeiting for COVID next week? It’s listed on the schedule that way

It may not be after all. We shall see. I think the Cookeville game will still be tough. Obviously, beating Oakland and Riverdale is out of the question. But I’ve already admitted in a previous post I was dead wrong about the Blackman game. Been amazing to see how the Blackman program has regressed under new leadership! I’ll stick with a 7-win prediction and 4th place finish.
You've been wrong twice, now a third. Don't know when to give up on a bad take do ya?

As an assistant. Judging by what I've read from previous leadership, that was a wise decision. Was planning on moving to FC before being offered OC position at Rockvale, you don't turn down a promotion like that
What's the credentials for Cunningham then? Sell me?
All i see is someone who agreed to come, then backed out.
Went 0-10 as a OC, in which his offense scored 2 TDs in only 50% of the games they played in.
Asst at Blackman for a few years?
I don't know the guy, may be a fantastic person. However, that's not the resume of a 5A head coach.

I'll save FC time, skip the interviews and hire Justin Cunningham
He had multiple chances to come to FC and backed out....

That is true, from what I've heard that one would shock me though.

That would be awesome! Coach Saulsberry is a great dude, but no, that's not the name I heard.
Dreamer's gonna dream ha! Will be an interesting hire. Seems like there is some optimism with the young talent.
Whoever gets the job needs to recruit the hallways first.

I heard the job has already been offered to a Coach in the Boro. We'll see what happens.
I would be shocked if this was true, My understanding is that interviews don't even start till next week.

I heard a big name from West Tennessee might be interested in this job tonight....
The absolute only connection i can make, which isn't a good one, is the fact that McCurry was spotted wearing a Whitehaven T-Shirt a few times this year... Could Rodney Saulsberry be interested? Highly unlikely, but literally the only connection to west tn hs football i can come up with.

Anyone know of any FC connections to West Tennessee?

Agree completely. Not to mention, dealing with probably the worst PA announcer in the state at all their home games would get old fast! The biggest annoying cheerleader-type you'll ever hear, and that's not one man's opinion...just ask the whole region and Tullahoma who they play every year.
Best High School PA announcer in the state! Dedicated, selfless, and loves the Rebels. SO BACK OFF!!!
hahaha

According to multiple sources Mac McCurry is GONE. "Take it to the bank" Not just fan talk anymore.
After nearly getting axed at the end of last season, 2019 will indeed be Mac's last in Franklin County.
Also heard that McCurry has already accepted a position to head back to Arkansas next year as an OC. Not as solid on that info but wouldn't doubt it.
So let me be the one to start the conversation, who is the FC Rebels head coach next season?
So now what are everyone's thoughts?

From what I understand, Kermit already tried that this summer. They didn’t want him.
Had Kermit wanted to coach at FCHS it would have happened. I never heard of him even entertaining it. I do agree that Kermit should get a head coaching opportunity, but i think it will be with the Hornets.
He could've had one elsewhere already if that wasn't the case.

I believe that to be a very true statement. Although, if our defense did have a weakness, i would definitely say it is the cornerbacks. Ensley does what he can at safety, but we have been beaten several times from double move routes.
Only thing the corners will have to worry about is containing the edge with Huntland.
However, the Hornets OC has thrown some different things at teams this season. If he sees a weakness and thinks he has the assets to exploit it the Hornets could throw some. Purely from a scheme aspect though.

I would agree. Could possibly have a majority of R5 out supporting as well. You are right on the firepower side. IF Huntland can pass the ball, they may have a chance. Reed is fast, not sure is fast enough for that defense though.
If Huntland has to rely on the passing game to win this game won't be close.

So, to be clear, are you predicting a Huntland win or.. ?
Personally i dont care if Huntingdon wins by 50 or by 7. The only thing that matters is getting the win and everyone is healthy for next week.
I'm not gonna predict this one,
Definitely more likely that Huntingdon comes out on top of this one though.

This topic should've been named Huntingdon vs. Cornersville Pt 2.
I think Friday night will be closer than anyone from West TN expects.

Round 4 in Huntingdon might be the largest football game ever attended in West TN in a long time! See you soon!
Ever heard the saying don't count your chickens before they hatch?
Huntland will be hoping that Huntingdon gets focused on round four and underestimates them.

Not as easy as "They are there now if it's a problem now, why not already leave?"
The Mascot got magnified this year, was brought before the board on a vote, and was in several news stories (paper and TV) The parents/kids did not know this would happen when they signed up. It has caused a lot of tension at the school and even on the coaching staff with some coaches not wanting to wear gear that said "Rebels". It deeply affected the football team this year as it was at the least a distracting topic all season. If a kid files for a hardship pertaining to the mascot and FC declines it they are setting themselves up for a lawsuit that they won't win in today's culture.
