How did Maryville beat Bearden? I am assuming Pember was out at that time? What is Maryville's overall record?

So far, Dobyns Bennett is looking as if they will be unchallenged in District 1 and maybe in Region 1 as well. In District play, they are at Tennessee High this Friday, so that will be a tough challenge. Saturday, they host Jefferson County from District 2, who they already beat on the road this year. D-B also has wins over District 2's Morristown West at home and Morristown East x 2 (once in Morristown and once in the Arby's Classic). This is my first year keeping up with D-B and Northeast Tennessee basketball as a whole, but D-B looks to be pretty dang tough.

DB plays Jefferson County on the road tonight. It's a non district game, so not sure what Jefferson County has. I know they made a great run in the Arby's Classic several years ago though. Wished I could go to this one but it's a little far to drive on a work night.

I live right on the Tennessee line in Bristol, but support a school where I am originally from in Dickenson County.

Good morning all. First time poster. Being an outsider from southwest Virginia, I think the TSSAA playoff system as far as how brackets are established are perfect. Districts or regions as I believe Tennessee refers to them are perfect in that all teams in the region are in the same class whereas in Virginia, for example, our district has all 2A teams except one who is 3A (who coincidentally won our district this year and folks are complaining). The only thing I would consider changing to the TSSAA system is using a power points scale like Virginia uses that determines the home field advantage in playoff matchups. Now back to this game in particular. Hoping for a Crockett win. What this team has been able to do this year is nothing short of remarkable. They're no doubt the feel good story of the year in the tri cities area. I would love to try to make this game myself, but leaving work at 5 p.m. may make it difficult to reach by kickoff.
