Unfortunately my car started missing and my check engine light came on between the Rogersville and Bulls Gap exit, so I took the safe option and came back to the house. Hoping for a good safe game and Roll Tribe!

Just looking forward to seeing my friend, the concession stand lady. And giving her relief by telling her she don't have to worry about playoffs this year either. Going to be a LOT of driving next week between going to Blount and then the next day to Durham. Good times.

Betsy trounced East tonight while the Tribe trounced East too, just not the one from Sullivan County. Honestly, I think this game should be on the schedule every year. Glad it's finally on there this year even though the cards probably favor the Cyclones. I vouch for Sykes to get the start at QB. Thought he played great tonight in the action he saw.

That dime that Sykes threw... best pass by a D-B QB this year in my opinion. The one Hurd threw in the second quarter to a wide open East defender in the endzone was probably the worst.

If they have a good QB-WR corps, then that's good for 21 points right away against the D-B secondary unfortunately.

I hear a lot about Mount Airy. On one of my trips down to Duke this season, I am going to try to go down a day early and catch Mount Airy on a Friday night. Hear they have at least 8 D1 prospects.

There's one thing I know for sure: As the number increases in the "W" column for slick Willy B, so does the dismay of the concession stand lady who is anxious about the potential of having to work a playoff game.

They're 1-2 with both losses (blowout losses at that) to Charlotte area schools. I have no idea what to expect. No clue how talent level in NC compares to northeast Tennessee.

I didn't go Friday night, and am even more glad I didn't now with the near 3 hour weather delay, but I echoed a lot of the comments in the thread in the D-B football real talk Facebook group a few weeks back and got banned as a result... Lol I guess we'll finish third or fourth in the region (heck don't count out William Blount at this point) and make our yearly trek to 825 for our yearly spanking by the Rebels. Heard Wilmoth say on Prep Picks on WCYB that he had a head injury, so I am guessing concussion protocol. Probably out this week at least if I were guessing.

One thing that may not have been mentioned, is this game is WCYB's Friday Night Rivals game this week, so as well as being on TV, you can stream this one on WCYB's Facebook page as well for those unable to make it to J. Fred tomorrow night.

The bolded is incorrect. I don't see a 6 win season BUT I do see the Indians making the playoffs. There's no way we lose to Mo East or Willy B. And two conference wins will get us in the playoffs. NC football must not be too shabby... The Blazers found that out last week.

Last year, this game came down to a missed two point conversion from the Indians pulling off the W. This year, the Greene Devils win comfortably in my opinion. By two scores at least.
