Nobody hating anybody here, you started all this about the west being the best.
Show me where I said that. .I said I was hoping west would win all their games which would be a long shot

Won’t bang Central, but Alcoa’s middle school would have rolled the HC team I watched today... Good season tho!
Not only are u disrespecting HC but u are also disrespecting the 5A champs in Central with that statement. Central did beat us by 5 points that's it.

I don’t know, but he is a stud. Expecting him to be a 2-way player next year.
Yeah that would be nice but when they said that I didnt know if it was true or not. I haven't heard that at all. Pretty cool if it is tho

Being able to essentially recruit kids helps, but that’s neither here nor there. I’ve got respect for Alcoa. Enough that I don’t troll their threads.
Anyway, good hard-fought game. Hats off to Central. Looks like you guys have a good thing going up that way. Maybe we can meet up again in Cookeville some time again down the road
Yes hope we can get back to Cookeville soon. Would love to play Central again! A+ class organization!!! If we had to lose it honestly couldn't be to a more deserving team! Glad they got that 1st championship! I remember our 1st title and its an amazing feeling

Well..... Weather is unpredictable and the TSSAA can’t control everything. One thing you can count on though;
whiningTIT’s lose games!
Let Alcoa play Greeneville! Alcoa would get that #### whooped!

Is there any truth to what the broadcasters said today in the game about Jawon Odoms was getting interest from Tennessee??? He is a Sophomore by the way.
-
Does anyone know what Central has returning next year? Is it a very big senior class
-
Well tough loss for HC in the State Championship game but its already time to move on! Next year starts now! How does the team look for next year? Such as O-line, D-line etc.

Wasn’t a bad concept. Central had some monster on that D line.
Yeah that was a tough tough defense!

Congrats to Central! Well played game! As far as the playcalling all of that was what we have done all year..nothing new..that's what got us here.

If you buy tickets for an NFL game, or a NASCAR race, or any sporting event for that matter and it gets rescheduled, you don’t get a refund. You bought a ticket for the 5A championship game, and your ticket will be honored when it’s played. It’s not TSSAA’s fault if you choose to not come back. They made the decision based on player safety, and I fully support that. It stinks that it’s not convenient, but that’s life.
It sure will be convenient to have that Gold Ball back in Henry County after this that's for sure! Now we got to go take care of business!!!

The ones who say HC fans are whiney is the ones with money to burn!

You realize they get audited every year and that audit is given to every school in the state right?? But that means you would be thinking rationally. This post has made me a Central fan, HC fans are so whiny.
Hmmmm?????

Basically you have no rebuttal because you know it is true. TSSAA was in a no win siutation. They have no control over the weather. It is unfortunate but to act like there was a better, safer option for the players is just selfish.
Lol ok

I understand that this choice is a major inconvenience on the part of the fans and even the teams, but you have to make choices based on the safety of the players not the convenience of the fans. As a former player, It would have been extremely hard to play that game at 11 or later. Having been on a bus at 9 and not had a meal since 4, it was not a good situation for the players. So I understand the choice to postpone and think that the choice will make this the great game it deserves to be. Go Big Red
At the same time if it wasnt for the fans there is no TSSAA

Did the teams stay overnight?
HC did for sure and I was told Central went back home and was going to come back today. Somebody can correct if that's wrong
-
Its the fact people spent hard earned money to ride the fan bus. People carried their kids on the fan bus and do you realize how many kids are heartbroken this morning because they can't see the game?? I wouldnt expect some people to understand this but its the truth. I have personally talked to several fans that was there and everyone said they wanted to stay no matter how long it took to get the game in. People that have money and are rich wouldnt understand this at all. People who are barely scraping by and spend what little extra money they had to watch the Patriots play in the State Championship game are flat out screwed and that's just not right and I do NOT agree with this outcome

What would you have liked them to do? Safety is the first priority. Some say start the game at 11 at night when players haven't had a meal in over 6 hours? Then having people on the road driving home at 2 or 3 in the morning. Is it the best solution in terms of convenienance? No, was it the right call for safety? Yes.
Wrong call I dont care what you say!

Gallatin played a game against Collierville back in 2003 that was delayed for hours. Due to the long drive for Collierville and the chances of rescheduling was almost nil, they opted to play the game after an all clear. They started about 11:30 at night and it was a great atmosphere. Collierville won that night and everyone was appreciative that is was played and not held over nor rescheduled. It would have been late but I think because of the long drive, that would have been a much better option.
Wow! Thanks didn't know that
