I like your projection, but I think Haywood is locked in now after being upset in the District Final. They have the best team if play to potential.
Yes they are locked in. That lost to Ripley was a wake up call

We would even be more dangerous if our 6 foot 8 kid was healthy. He tore his ACL playing football.

Pearl Cohn is loading up to make a deep run. If Haywood didn’t get them last season they sure won’t get them next season. That same team is returning as Juniors and Seniors with a few different kids transferring in.
I am talking about basketball.

Haywood will be ready to make a deep run in the playoffs

Haywood played six teams which made it to the quarterfinals, including Covington who is in the semifinals. They played Bartlett and Henry County in the preseason. And no, they have not trailed a single second this season. But they are battle tested with two semis and one final from this senior group. I get your point, but this team is just different than those in the past. Pearl Cohn is a great team, but I'm leaning Haywood by 10 with weather and the home field a big factor.
Good point GO TOMCATS!!!!!!

The Tomcats are locked in. I hope this is our year. 42-14 Haywood rolls on to the next round.

I agree! I believe this is the deepest team we have had in recent memory
This team is really good. They even work out on Sunday in my garage trying to get stronger. That defensive line is tough.

Being perfectly honest, no one has threatened Haywood to the point the game was ever in doubt past the first quarter. Both Lexington and Covington scored late after the outcome was determined and SGC was done after the middle of the first quarter. As a fan, I was most threatened by Covington and Milan going into the game. We will see what Covington thinks of itself when they decide to renew with the Tomcats for two more years.
Well said

Haywood looks real focus at practice all this week. 41-21 Haywood wins and they have a great game plan on defense something new.

It is sad that 1A Lake County stepped up to play Haywood and none of the bigger schools would not play them. It's a game that Lake County probably cannot win but will give it their all.
I love the good hospitality from Lake County

How did we look offensively? I figured the secondary would need some work still some new pieces in there
We look really good on offense. We scored at least 5 touchdowns. Coach is really spreading the ball around.

Haywood pretty much dominated the scrimmage. We got work on pass defense.

A scrimmage with Bartlett sounds great! My thanks to the Panther coaching staff for making it happen.
Years ago we played regular season games against Bartlett, Collierville, and Germantown.
I wish we could get one or two of those teams back on our schedule. I also think Arlington would make a good rivalry. Both schools are located just a few miles off of I-40, so it would basically be 40 miles of straight interstate travel.
I know that there are a lot of factors that have to be considered, and I know we have no influence over scheduling, but just for the fun of it, are there any other Haywood fans who would like to mention some teams they'd like to see the Tomcats play?
I also hope we can keep Covington on our schedule. Fans and players today don't know how big of a rivalry that game was back in the day.
Those fans who are able to attend the scrimmage PLEASE let us know how it goes.I will be going to the scrimmage
