    Coach Smith is a fine coach, and he has worked wonders for the Haywood community. 

    I also tip my hat the coaches from LC for agreeing to play Haywood. I am certainly there are 3, 4, and 5 A schools that would not schedule and out of region game with the Tomcats.  

    I just hope we can keep him at Haywood. My son loves Coach Smith.

    I'll admit that it doesn't look good for LC on paper.  But as we all say, the game isn't played on paper.  Tomcats, you can't be complacent.  Lake Co. will give you 48 minutes of all they've got. 

    Don't let hubris be your downfall.  Not in this game, not in any of the games ahead!

    North Side was the team that nobody picked to be second in this district. I had them finishing 3rd. They have the most underrated player in the district in Isaiah Reed (#65). How many people know he is going to Louisville to play football? Hardly anybody... DeCameron DeMoss (#6) picked up an offer from Tennessee State the other day. They do have athletes. 

    BUTTT, they lack special teams. They lack creativity on offense. Their offensive playbook is monotonous and boring. It's the same 10-15 plays. QB doesn't have the best arm in velocity. Studying film is the study guide to the test. Simple.

    This is not a big physical football team, they're pretty small. They have been pretty small for a while. Why am I not convince in Jesse Powell? Why do I not believe in the guy? It's the same 7-3/6-4 season with a potential win in the first round and exit in the second round. North Side is 1-10 I believe against teams that finished with a record of .500 or better since the 2019 season. The lone with was against South Gibson this year. That record is approaching Mickey Marley territory when he was at USJ.

    Haywood will win this game with ease, 42-20.

    I saw the same 10 or 15 plays at the Jamboree.

    As you mentioned in a previous post, this is an important region game.  North Side will come to play, and  I believe the Indians will give us all they've got.  Hopefully, this will be the week the Tomcats put it all together and give it all they've got.

    Haywood is averaging 40.4 points a game while giving up an average of  8.2, AvgMV 32.2
    North Side is averaging 28 points a game while giving up an average of 22.33, AvgMV 5.7
    Haywood's opponents have a record of 8-20
    North Side's opponents have a record of 22-12
    Series:  Haywood leads the series 21-12-0.  Haywood has won the last 4 meetings.
    Last Meeting:  Haywood defeated North Side 34-14 on August 30, 2019. The two teams did not meet last year due to JMCS Covid policies.  

     

    Good info I am still waiting on Haywood to play a perfect game. If they do this want even be close. I saw Northside play at the Jamboree. They don't have the athletes to play four quarters with Haywood.

    Tomcats win 38-12. They are having some intense practices the last couple of days.
