    Clinton game Coach Lowe was not turning QB lose yet because of injury, and Lenoir city game that dam wing T was killing Powell.  Powell had the ball maybe 6 or 7 times all game and scored on 5 of them, and it didn't help that Powell scored quick against LC and then Powell could not get LC offense off the field.  LC did a good job at getting 4-6 yards a clip and bleeding the clock.

    West defense has always been really good.  Powell played them in 2020 when this senior class was Sophomores, and West had not let up a TD yet for the season, and Powell scored 27 (lost though) and last year same thing.  West defense was really good and Powell put up 35 (and won)  I expect a high scoring game, I don't believe either defense can stop each other.  JMO

    Seeing all this talk about how this was not a revenge game is funny.  People really should not talk about things that they are not familiar with.  The reason Powell was so fired up about this game, is because after they lost in 2020 Walker Valley head coach was posting on twitter direct shots at the QB and Powell.  Things like "your QB is not as good as mine", "you can keep that Mr. Football, we will take this win" and more.  Even direct messaging them.  Powell printed all the tweets and hung them in the locker room for a little more motivation.   But on to the next game.

    Not to mention QB was playing that game with a broken hand, and it was his throwing hand.

    That Walker Valley team from two years ago was a heavily senior laden team.  It's not the same team that beat Powell, not even close.  

    But, whatever you want to believe.  

    Not saying its the same team, but it is the same school, and same coach.  That's like saying rivalries are not rivalries because year over year its different players.....lol  So ya it is a revenge game 100% Most competitors/athletes want to avenge losses from the past.  But to each there own.  By the way this is not my opinion, this is the 100% opinion from Powell players, coaches, and fans.

    Either way though Powell wins the game but WV band will win halftime 

    Ya there band is serious!  One of the best.

    Region 4 5A is the same plus East Hamilton.

     

     

    For the next 2 years OR is going to dominate region 3 then.

    West is going to be a tuff out for anyone.  They are pretty good in all 3 phases of the game.  Powell struggles against the run, so it could be a high scoring game if they do meet up in the semis.

    Oh okay.  because the bracket on TSSAA says if Powell makes it to the 3rd round, then they will play away?  Its pre printed on sheets?  So Powell has home field threw out the playoffs then?
