The score didn’t reflect the dominant performance last friday. Loudon couldn’t breath.

lmao. Loudon moved the ball, they just couldn't get the big play they needed to finish the drives. Redbank's Defense played well. The Redbank offense won't score 3 long touchdowns like they did against Loudon due to poor tackling. Loudon had Redbank in 2, 3rd down situations in the second half and both of them went for about 80 yards because of the poor tackling. Alcoa won't miss these tackles. All I'm trying to say is that Alcoa has better players than Loudon does and I wouldn't expect to break multiple long TD's.

Just forfeit? People not buying you BS is their opinion?  You talk big about your Offensive line and and how they have so many D1 players? Well, how come they only manage 13 points and 24 points against Loudon?

Per a guy on the first Loudon/Redbank thread, "From what I heard Red Bank played real lax last night to avoid injuries." I guess they played lax both games to avoid injuries.

I always wonder how 3A teams in the East would fare against similar teams in middle and west TN. Like Austin East last season against Covington or PC?.....like Loudon this year against Covington, SG or Westview? Can Red Bank hang with Milan ,Covington, or Stewart County? I used teams at random just as examples just for thought, but there would be some very interesting games!:thumb:

It may be fun to get one of those games on the schedule one year and meet somewhere in the middle.

Alcoa is coming to your house next week, Lions.  Let's get ready to play some darn good football.  Glad y'all beat Loudon tonight.  They are overrated every year.  They aren't ready for the next level yet.  Hoping for a good game, no injuries, and nobody getting silly with their behavior.  Let's GO!

Why do you say Loudon is overrated? They blew everyone out except Redbank and have only lost 3 games the last two seasons. A team that has no D1 players only lost to a team that has several D1 players 13-0 and 24-14. If that means they are overrated then so be it. Anyway, Alcoa wins this one easy. I don't think Redbank will even score. The Redbank Offense is very basic and will get smothered the Alcoa defense.

picking an upset.  I think Upperman can contain them (not stop them) and be able to score just enough.

Lol. How is upperman going to contain Loudon when they couldn't contain Signal? I would agree that this game has potential to be a good game, but based off of scores of common opponents, Loudon should win easily. If Upperman is going to upset Loudon it'll take a lot of points.

You know half of Alcoa's basketball team was missing, cause they got past the third round of the playoffs! :roflolk:

Oh, by the way, that 56-0 beatdown of Loudon in the fourth round would have been even worse had the honey bees been half as good as their coacht fans thought they where and made it that far.HA!

Alcoa would had topped 75 points and no way give up 18 points this year!!

Please leave my Redskins out of this. Watching the game was bad enough. Seeing it everywhere we turn around just makes it worse. lol

Lots of chatter on social media from other schools in East TN about wanting Alcoa to bump up to 5a or 6a, despite tssaa rules, because they don't think Alcoa has enough competition.  They obviously haven't seen PC on tape.

3A is strong. Last year as well. 2018 upperman and Covington would have beaten 70% of 6a schools. AE would have beaten 50%.

Look what PC has done this year, All of middle TN thinks Alcoa will lose this game.

And I would say that all of East Tn thinks Alcoa will win. Alcoa not only beat quality teams like Blackman, Dobyns-Bennett, GP, AE and Loudon, Alcoa dominated them. Dominated isn't even the right word I would use to describe what they did to my Redskins.

  8. Such doom and gloom from some Central fans here. I can see why after getting beat by 62 and 54 the last 2 weeks. There is still a chance to be 5-5 and possibly 6-4 if Loudon was to look foward to next week's bye and not show up. I think Loudon wins easily, but the last 3 can be won for Central. If that is the case (5-5), Central would be looking at a playoff game. There is a lot of season left, just have to keep working.

Probably gonna upset some folks, but Loudon has consistently gotten worse it seems as the season has progressed. Not sure what is going on there. They played much better at the beginning of the season compared to now. Maybe I'm the only one thinking this, but it's what I've gathered through some fans.

Maybe not played worse, but first of the season they seemed to be clicking alot better so to speak.

IDK. I don't think Loudon is any different than they were at the beginning of the season. It's hard to tell since they have blown everybody out.

You also played the best game of the season against us so far also you could do no wrong in that game. And for some reason and our kids walked into the game thinking they had it won and you all would bow down and kiss our cleats when we walked on the field but that didn't happen. You gave us a good butt whipping but I will say we needed it in a bad way!

I agree. Loudon never has things go as good as they did in that game. If this was week 1 or 2 i would say this is going to be a tough one for Greenback. After the last couple of weeks for each team I don't think Greenback has any problems.

What changed your mind this week?

LC had one good play against Loudon that resulted in a touchdown. It wasn't even that good, we just did't tackle the guy. Other than that play on offense, it was punt after punt for them. If Loudon wouldn't have dropped so many open passes, the score would've been worse than it was. I will admit, I was dead wrong last week.

  12. Anyway, back to the task at hand. I believe Loudon wins this one. Signal will most likely challenge us up front. I have heard Signal runs a wing t offense. This could cause us some problems since I have noticed us in a 3-4 all season. I think this could be a problem for us.
