They do. Period. 3 Head Coaches on staff....1 GA State Champion DC, HC/OC is from a successful Bradley program, and OL coach is tied for most wins in a season as HC at Central. There are others as well that have brought knowledge and experience. Pretty cool for small town football to have that. Something Sweetwater probably cherishes right about now.

That’s cool you have 3 head coaches on staff… I guess? Bragging about your OL coach’s HC tenure isn’t the flex you think it is. Meigs County still has important coaches on staff from both state runner-up teams. Just a bold claim is what I’m trying to say… ultimately your bold claims and my skepticism of your claims have no bearing on the game tomorrow night, though.

Fitzgerald isn't there to make a difference any longer. Central has the better staff and better team now.

Could actually catch up in the next two games but I am sure they'll call the horses off by the 3rd Q so might take a few years to get to 310.

What makes you so sure etowah has the better staff? One game against a Sweetwater program in turmoil?

A small group of disgruntled parents . That's the reason.  The local Advocate &Democrat newspaper has a pretty good write up on it.

In 5 years he won 100 games.

Won 4 of 5 district tournaments

Had a team GPA of 3.4 or higher every year

    No kids failed a class.

Small people from a small town with small minds ruin a good thing.

    Jeremy Henderson, is that you?

Mcminn central is wearing it out not to have any seniors on the team, also beat what looks to be the #1 AAAA team last month, I think it'll be a good game, but I am biased  as I went to both mcminn county high schools

Do you always have to mention that you went to both McMinn Co. High Schools?

Meigs has been there own worse enemy. They could 3-0 but watching all three games more likely they are a 0-3 team.
offense being so vanilla is killing it at the moment.
not giving enough chances for anything to get rolling we change it up to much. And we pass way more than we should at this stage of the season. It should be short gain runs mixed with intermediate routes to throw to and progress throughout the season.
this eases a QB in versus just throwing him into the fire. Look back at college and pro qbs that have never missed a season that get thrown into the fire you don’t hear of Uber success when they just rely heavily on a inexperienced player.

Saying “offense being so vanilla is killing it at the moment” and then following with “…we change it up too much. And we pass way more than we should at this stage of the season” is so contradicting to a point where I have no idea what you’re trying to say with your post.

  6. Wow, what an amazing atmosphere tonight in Decatur. Ethan Meadows with the game winner over etowah. Fantastic shot after a great pass by Cole Owens, coach Perkinson drew up a great play. Owens carried Meigs the whole game. Meigs vs. Sweetwater on Tuesday night. No better time to get the Sweetwater monkey off their back than right now.

    Well it’s pretty much settled.

    1 Sweetwater 10-0

    2 Meigs 7-3

    3 McMinn Central 5-4

    4 Kingston 4-5

    5 Tellico 2-6

    6 Loudon 0-10

Still a couple games to be played but the only thing that could change would be the 4-5 seeds but I think that’s highly unlikely. Tellico would have to beat Kingston and Central.

Heckuva game last night in Decatur. So happy for those kids as they’ve been through a lot their last two years.

Good to see Mcminn central beat Ten Mile like they did.

That’s a good one. It’s odd seeing a Cherokee fan so upset about a Meigs supporter calling central the wrong name. Are you a closet charger fan?

Meigs just played bad tonight, I was surprised that they lead by 7 at halftime and the second half foul trouble made it even harder. I still think it comes down to Meigs and Sweetwater. Central has put themselves in a uphill battle losing to a not very good Kingston team and the district tournament being at Meigs helps them a lot.

Meigs at Sweetwater next week will tell us a lot.

Meigs played about as well as they could in the first half and only led by 3 after the three pointer at the buzzer. Etowah shot lights out (like they almost always do against us) in the first half. You’re right, foul trouble hit us hard in the second half. Four of five starters had 3 or more fouls early in the fourth quarter. That’s no excuse. I can’t stand losing to them, but kudos chargers.

I absolutely think etowah should be in that group with Sweetwater and Meigs. They have a couple different options, just like Meigs, who can score 15-20 on any night. Like I previously said earlier in this thread, I really want to see us beat Sweetwater and Etowah, especially before tournament time rolls around, just to get over that mental hurdle.

Central has struggled this year so far but they get shot at Sweetwater tonight and Kingston comes to Meigs two big district games. I would like to see Meigs and Sweetwater undefeated in the district when they play.

I’m excited for the game tonight. Raymer is a stud. Hoping the tigers are ready, I think they will be.
