Dang you already have water playing in semis or finals and playing Alcoa in finals. Water will move to 4a skip 3 a they just beat last years region champs of 4a tonight ..

Uh DeKalb did not win there region last year. LA went 10-0 in regular season and beat DeKalb 31-0 last year.

  2. If DeKalb doesn't win it this year I think they would be very very disappointed. After that I think Macon, LA, or Stone may just be a toss up for 2nd thru 4th. LA lost a ton of talent but still have some pieces to be competitive but nowhere near last year's team.

I can tell you for a fact he never once caught the ball on 15. Not once in one on one. Your guy is great and I don't deny that but I was there the whole game and every game this yr. When 15 came out from breaking up a TD pass your guy caught a TD over 1 Who is 5 foot 3 at best. Tell you what post the catch on 15. That will solve it

Go to Hudl play #40 ball snapped from LA 29 yd line right in front of  your sideline.

Just not sure how you would account for that and not sure I'd trust TSSAA to do it right. I thinking breaking it down like that would water it down like adding classes has

Valid points and I understand what you are saying but I do know it is very difficult year in and year out for a 1 school county with a population of 20 to 25 thousand to compete with a school in a county with 50 or 55 thousand that isn't zoned or can draw from that many kids.

Which is why I'd like for there to be a wild cards so good teams aren't penalized for playing in a strong region. I think most ppl don't mind 5-5, it's when teams make it going 2-8 or worse

I would agree with that and I think eventually if you want to really level up the playoffs there is going to have to be some type of urban and rural factors weighed in.

  6. Livingston Academy won state championship in 2005 as number 4 seed from region with Fulton, Austin East, Knox Catholic, Anderson County, and Scott County so in top two they would not have made the playoffs. This was also when TN just had 5 classifications.

thank you. People like you have been what they have needed to keep playing like this. if you think 8 is going to explode ask any teams thats played 15 he can and will shut your guy down on O. LA had the best WR that anyone has seen all year guess how many catches he had on him and he was all state. 0!!!!! im telling you if Aldinos is on and Bradford is running the ball this will be a great ball game. Didnt Marshall spank Nolensville. Didnrt DC just beat them.  NO one is getting spanked. This willl be a great game.

Just for clarification, 15 was matched up with 11 from Livingston truly one on one 1 play the entire game. He played 11 tough and physical at the line of scrimmage the entire night and he is a good player, but other than the one play they had a bracket with safety help over the top. I have researched the film several times. That one play resulted in a 30 yard gain that should have been a 65 yd TD but ball was underthrown. Good luck to DeKalb they are obviously playing really well.

  8. Facts are facts hard for a school in a county with 25,000 to compete year in and year out with a school in a county of 50,000 not zoned. People can't just up and move to a more populated place nor do most of them want to. Don't think anyone is complaining just stating facts and looking for a way to make things more competitive.

Tennessee should do what Georgia does regarding OOZ students.  In GA every student that attends a school from out of zone is counted twice and that school is classed accordingly to the number after the multiplier.  For example School A has 1,000 students.  200 of those students do not live in that school's zone.  Thus School A's enrollment is 1,200 after the mulitplier... similar to the 1.8 TSSAA used a while back.

That sounds like a legitimate solution for the zoning aspect, but not sure the multiplier should be more.
