  1. Nolensville QB really good player, running back is a sophomore and the best we saw this year, couple of wr's with excellent speed. Good size up front. Best of luck to both teams.
  2. Really hate it for our brothers in DeKalb Co. who really deserved a chance to see how far they could go. We are rivals on the field but there has always been respect for all the teams within our region and a comradary between the staffs and players. The kids deserved better!!!
  3. DeKalb will probably advance as long as it doesn't rain that night and I really think that will be it. I hope I am wrong but just don't see anyone else from Region 3 being able to pull it off.
  4. If you are a DeKalb fan just pray for no rainy Friday nights when the playoffs start. Makes it tough against good teams if you can't run the ball when the rain is coming down. Congrats to DeKalb on the region championship.
  5. Uh DeKalb did not win there region last year. LA went 10-0 in regular season and beat DeKalb 31-0 last year.
  6. Feel for all the kids in metro not getting to play. Davidson County had a population of over 694,000 in 2019 and currently has 1,265 active cases of the virus which equals 0.0018% I just don't get it.
  7. Thanks for the info on the restrictions!
  8. Are there going to be any attendance restrictions on this one?
  9. Awesome hope he has a great Sr year. He is #89 correct?
  10. Do you know who is recruiting the kids from Macon Co?
  11. If DeKalb doesn't win it this year I think they would be very very disappointed. After that I think Macon, LA, or Stone may just be a toss up for 2nd thru 4th. LA lost a ton of talent but still have some pieces to be competitive but nowhere near last year's team.
  12. He knows DeKalb will see Nolensville in the playoffs again if they are to make it very far. They have eliminated LA 2 of the last 3 years as well but last year had a lot more to do with LA not showing up to play that night and a couple of injuries. You can't do anything but play who is in front of you.
  13. Go to Hudl play #40 ball snapped from LA 29 yd line right in front of your sideline.
  14. Lol I don't know either, that might work.
  15. Valid points and I understand what you are saying but I do know it is very difficult year in and year out for a 1 school county with a population of 20 to 25 thousand to compete with a school in a county with 50 or 55 thousand that isn't zoned or can draw from that many kids.
  16. I would agree with that and I think eventually if you want to really level up the playoffs there is going to have to be some type of urban and rural factors weighed in.
  17. Livingston Academy won state championship in 2005 as number 4 seed from region with Fulton, Austin East, Knox Catholic, Anderson County, and Scott County so in top two they would not have made the playoffs. This was also when TN just had 5 classifications.
  18. Just for clarification, 15 was matched up with 11 from Livingston truly one on one 1 play the entire game. He played 11 tough and physical at the line of scrimmage the entire night and he is a good player, but other than the one play they had a bracket with safety help over the top. I have researched the film several times. That one play resulted in a 30 yard gain that should have been a 65 yd TD but ball was underthrown. Good luck to DeKalb they are obviously playing really well.
  19. Facts are facts hard for a school in a county with 25,000 to compete year in and year out with a school in a county of 50,000 not zoned. People can't just up and move to a more populated place nor do most of them want to. Don't think anyone is complaining just stating facts and looking for a way to make things more competitive.
  20. That sounds like a legitimate solution for the zoning aspect, but not sure the multiplier should be more.
  21. Just an opinion, but until the TSSAA can figure into the equation county population and whether there is zoning or not or recruiting the playing fields are never really going to be level.
  22. I think DeKalb has a chance as they are obviously playing better. LA completely laid an egg the other night, but Nolensville is very comparable to Upperman in my opinion as far as talent and scheme. QB throws a little better.
