Planning on making the trip up to Hampton on Friday

One of the best teams I have seen in small division football. There were athletes at every position. Current HC played that year at WR for sure and maybe even some DB. Maybe he can muster up some of that magic again come Friday night.

As you should be. You do not make it to the semifinals without a good group. We aren’t rolling in with that ‘05 championship team. Don’t think we will hit you with the all verticals TD opening play like ‘05 lol

No secret as to what the Hampton offense is at this point. Not sexy or flashy…. Lineup and run at you. I get what you are saying about them leaning on you all game and using the guards and hbacks to create holes. It’s power football. I do however think there are ways to offset the big nasties that you cannot move out of the way. I think that’s the approach you have to use if you are TC this Friday. If you can’t go through them, go around, over, or under them…

I tend to agree. May see something I don’t see but the lateral quickness for TC as a unit is pretty good. Really like the QB for Hampton. Runs hard and can create plays

I definitely think that is Hampton strategy. I will say there is nothing more frustrating than a team hitting you for 3-5 yards every play. Death by 1000 paper cuts is brutal

I watched some of the Oneida game and I think TC speed upfront could give Hampton some issues upfront. Most guys would tell you the hardest man to block is the quick shifty one. TC needs to get some penetration to slow down that running attack. I’m sure Hampton is like TC in the fact that we don’t particularly like to be in 3rd and 7+

What’s the over/under on how long the first half takes to play…. 45 minutes?

You do not get this far into November without an identity.... that is for sure.

I remember making this trip in ‘05 and man is it a long one. Can’t wait to see some film on Hampton and see how we will match up.

Past 3 years the final has never been more than 7 points…. I don’t look for that to change this year. I’m going 21-17 TC Heard that this was changed to 104.5 game of the week… can anybody confirm that?

Game day at last! This game has the feeling of first one to 20 will get the W. Hard hitting, smack your momma in the mouth kinda game. Just hope @H2Oman can keep his eye on the game and off the sloots

Even without knowing much about Oneida or Hampton, I would have to agree. Just hope the mighty West is merciful on one of us poorly Middle/Eastern folks.

Agreed Grunt. I have not seen either play but I know they have some good athletes (MAHS) and really good QB (Westview) but takes more than that to get it done.
