    Bilbrey is a Junior.

Well good they will have him one more year. Him and the coaches kid make a pretty good duo. White has alot coming back to. I look for white to possibly win next year time will tell.

The Bilbrey kid is putting them on his shoulders last two games. Hitting clutch shots down the stretch in both games.

Glad to see it. They are a young team and was not expecting to see them go this far but glad they are. I know they have a really good freshman. Is Bilbrey a sophomore?  They will be good for next couple of years. I hope thursdays game is streamed live, would like to see it.  Guess i will be pulling for York and Stone now in the post season

We(White County)did do a little better than this prediction. We have definitely played better as the season has progressed.

Who would have thought Stone would still be standing. Maybe they can pull it out.

Upperman’s guards are too good and more importantly too experienced to press. They have been playing vs much better teams than Cumberland and in much bigger games. It is apparent when they play.

My biggest concern about Cumberland is they have not played any District competition for 4 years. In 7AA they never lost a game the whole time. Now they are playing big game after big game vs teams and coaches that know how to win. They look overmatched vs Upperman.

Anyone know what grade the Cobb girl is in?  She is very skilled. And the Crouch kid for sure shows why she is going Division 1.  She is a complete player

Congratulations to a great White County team on the championship. Mitchell had his team well prepared and they had great composure the whole game. Well deserved win. Stone did well but just couldn’t overtake them.
Earlier games, Livingston hit there own last minute winning shot for the win over Cumberland. Overall impression for the season. More impressed with SMHS than expected. Cumberland is less impressive than expected. White County keeps getting better and at the right time. Livingston is a decent team but won’t make it through regions IMO.

From what I hear Cumberland loses everyone next year.  All of White and Stones best players return next year. It will be a battle between White/ Stone next year as well.

Jets have the most talent on the court, were not able to be consistent in regular season though. We will see how it shakes out. Stone should be favorite for winning reg season for sure, but none of that matters in tourney season.

Didnt  get to watch White Co game but watched Stone/Livingston and the Freshman from Stone is legit. He will go  far.

I thought from the post season awards cchs must have some good individual players since they had 2 players on the first team. I noticed stone only had 1 player on first team. Good luck to all the teams. I will be keeping up with this for sure.

  8. Seems like any of these teams could win this tourn. Stone probably is the favorite. I have watched them play against york and clarkrange and their guards are good. They say most district teams have ran a box and one on the freshman but I dont feel like that will happen in tournament. He is the best guard but they have 2 other guards that can punish you if you leave them open. White Co seems to be peaking at right time also. It will be interesting

A buddy of mine said he had to guard a freshman from PC all night tonight.  If he cant defend?????

I think the reasoning behind that would be the coach doesnt want him to get in foul trouble. When you score like that, the coach is not going to put you on the other teams best player. And just because someone is a freshman doesnt really mean much anymore. I saw a freshman from a local high school boys team get face guarded the other night so you cant always assume a freshman is not a huge offensive threat

  10. I heard stone has a big boy that is coming around and is only a sophomore. That could seal the deal for them. Their guard play is very strong. Cchs has a couple of older guards too that have more experience than stones guards but a post player stepping up for stone could be big. White could easily get hot at the right time to

White County is pretty solid defensively, but we're struggling to find any offensive firepower.

Well I guess that is understandable considering they lost Slatten   He is hard to replace.  Stone has some pretty good young players.

You are trying to ride the fence,Miller is the best of the 4 ,no debating.. her D 1 offers are proof ,these college coaches aren't idiots, (as some posters think, dont sleep on so and so,etc.. get so tired on twitter etc..)The twins are great high school players period. Capps is a great hs player and will be niche player  and will be role player at D 1 GW, Miller will be a dominate starter at Belmont eventually .

Nope, not trying to ride the fence at all. Really don’t see the point in debating and trying to rank 4 really good players in our area that all have bright futures. I doubt any of these 4 kids even care if they are called “ the best “. They seem to all be great kids trying to win games.  Like I stated, they all are strong in different areas which has led to much success for all.  I do think some D 2 school will be very excited to get the twins. They will play at the next level and they will have success past high school. As for Capps, I have not seen many 6’2 girls that have great footwork in the paint and also qualify as one of most effective three point shooters in the state. I am certain Gardner Web is happy to get her and has big plans for her. And you are 100% correct , Miller has a very high ceiling due to her athleticism.  I hope you are right and I hope she goes to Belmont and leaves her mark.  To play at the next level is awesome, no matter the level. Let’s celebrate the fact that all these girls are great players. And like I said - I think all the comparing and trying to rank is only for adult ego and pride.  I see success in the future for all 4 of these young ladies.

  13. Be hard for me to pick a “best” out of these 4 as they all bring something different.  I have watched ball in Fentress  Co for many years and have enjoyed watching all 4 develop.  The twins are lightening quick and very fundamental and just plain fun to watch. They both had off games last night but that game sure doesn’t define them. Miller is an amazing athlete that is gonna be hard for any team to Handle. Capps is not as athletic as the other three mentioned but makes up for that with tremendous skill and shooting ability. I think they all will be successful players at the next level.  To have 2 great players on each of these teams is very awesome and unusual. I was impressed at how well Capps and Miller look to pass to each other last night. That is not always the case when you have that much talent.
