But yet those CCS Chargers are 5 students under the cutoff that allows them to stay in AA which is a joke but have increased their football roster by 20+ kids the last couple of years.  lol!  They play in the big boy division in all other sports, why won't they man up and move on up in Football?

I think Davidson county pulls one out against Boyd and CPA wins by two TDS.

This will be a pretty good game early, but Boyd pulls away in the second half with their run game and stingy defense.  Boyd did beat DA last year at their place 39-10, and this Boyd team is much deeper and more talented than last year.

CPA wins in a tight one.  But you never know how this could play out the second time around...

Here’s the kicker Bradley’s JV is more dominant than the varsity.. smoking Baylor 41-0 Cleveland 53-20 and there’s a kid in our middle school who only lost 1 game who is breaking records.. kids a monster. Bradley is going to become a dynasty and Mary be is going to become a unique part of history not to mention the “recruiting” team at Bradley lol billionaire Allen jones was there, from sanders has been visiting… the VOLS coach was there… there’s a lot more than the eye is seeing going on lol why was Bradley predicted to be state champs before the season even started lol? That was shocking to me? I live here and I was like “we’re good this year?!” We always suck…. Everyone was like “oh they’re animals… toughest team in state” I was laughing… I dogged our own team becaause the hype… next years team is already being prepared man…… “transfers” and “govt housing” is taking place as we speak so I hear. $$$ and politics are being played. But who knows….. I’m always wrong lol

Bradley will not become a dynasty.  Now they may be very competitive going forward, but you have to win state titles to become a dynasty.  Bradley takes a huge hit in talent after this year.  Frankly, take away the transfers Kaleb Martin and Boo Carter from this year's team, they probably drop a few games this year.

Hey Fresh - you saying Lipscomb has kids come in for just a semester to play football?  Do you have any names or is that just hearsay / conjecture?  That would be quite the story for Kraeger to write.

Maybe I should have not said that.  I have no definite proof, just very strong "rumor".  Take it for what it's worth.  But ill remove that post since it's a rumor.

  6. The 3 divisions need to be looked at.  Makes sense to make the 3 divisions as even as possible.  BA, St. Benedict, Ensworth, and PJP II could move up as they always have, then Lipscomb, CPA, Webb-Knoxville, and CCS all move up as well, making AAA-16, AA-16, A-17.   No way a school's that have in the high 400's, low to mid 500'sin enrolment being in a division that has schools in the high 200's.  I think the cutoff numbers should be re-evaluated.  Here is what I would suggest.

I'm wondering if any of these schools know the cutoff before sending in their number.

They absolutely do.  Don't think there isn't any back-room deals or secret info being shared.  How do you justify multimillion dollar facility upgrades and a boost of about 30 players on your roster and only gain 1 student in two years?

where did you see that?  the breakdown I saw on TSSAA just now only had 8 in AAA which will be a disaster if no one chooses to go up.  AAA started at 531...

    https://cms-files.tssaa.org/documents/tssaa/2022-23/2023classification.html#dii-football

You are correct.  I copied and pasted this and changed it for how it should be.  Right now, there are only 8 in AAA, but I'm sure TSSAA expects Brentwood Academy, Ensworth, St. Benedict, and PJP II to voluntarily move up.  Lipscomb, CPA, Webb-Knoxville, and CCS should do the same.  The enrollment #'s should be Class A:  0-265, Class AA:  266-450, Class AAA 451-and Greater.  This would make Class A-17 Schools, Class AA-16 Schools, Class AAA-16 Schools.  Looks pretty reasonable to me.

  9. Increase by 1 student over the last 2 years.  Who believes that?  Really makes you look silly when 4 schools smaller than you have chosen to play up (PJP II, Ensworth, Brentwood Academy, and St. Benedict), but CCS somehow stays down in AA.  Makes no sense that CCS stays down in Football but has to play up in all other sports.  How does TSSAA expect schools like Davidson Academy 272 students to compete with CCS that has 526 students.  Something smells fishy??

Rankin is not going to Boyd he can't win a state title CPA and Lispcomb rule that division

you guys really need to start looking where DII-AA will be in 2 years.  More than likely CPA, Lipscomb, CCS, and Webb will be out of AA after next season.  Most of those should already be up in AAA.

  11. 42 minutes ago, Playerscoach said:

I agree but maybe he’s come off his desire to win a championship? I know he’s said he wants to coach at a place that can win one though. He knows he can’t beat Lipscomb or CPA without an influx of talent though. Nothing against those kids or that program but CPA/LA are two of the best programs in the state every year.

Who says CPA or Lipscomb will be in AA after next year?  When TSSAA reclassifies after next year, would not be surprised if those two and a few others are moved to the big boy division.

I would be shocked. He can't win it in 2AA. That is controlled by Nashville. DIlfer is bringing in kids from all over the country.  It would take several years to build up and at his age I just don't see him wanting to wait that long.

I think you would be surprised at the talent BBS has coming up in the next few years...

I predict CCS will beat Silverdale if there is a rematch. CCS's youth is still maturing. both good teams

CCS could beat Silverdale in a rematch, but I don't see that happening.  CCS does have a great back in Boo Carter, but that's it.  I don't care how much their youth is maturing, they have no real threat of throwing the ball downfield, even though they do have a D1 receiver prospect in A.J. Wallace.   They just can't get him the ball.   CCS makes a lot of mistakes probably because of youth, but Silverdale seems to have that mojo this year that is unpredictable.   Also, in the first game they played, CCS flat out quit on defense once they got behind.   Eye test goes to CCS, heart and desire to win goes to Silverdale.  Probably would be a good one if they get another chance.

  14. Game is rescheduled for this Friday night, at Boyd Buchanan.  Really admire Coach Bosken for not taking a Covid win last week when CAK had to cancel and for rescheduling it, especially for a region game.  Should be a good game if the Bucs can limit the turnovers.

This game is going to be real hard.  That Griffith man will not let our boys practice until Thursday and they have to play this pain man Friday.  If they beat us we will not win our district.  You think im joking but I’m not.

I'm pretty sure it wouldn't matter if you practiced or even thought about football before this game.  Might as well play your JV against them.  Will be very ugly!
