Db shouldn't have any problem in this one. Nothing against Blount but there strong record comes from a weaker schedule in my opinion

Fair enough. Cyclone fans are passionate as can be. Some just show it in the wrong ways. Like u said, there's some in every fan base

U shouldn't really have to separate fans if the fans have any class whatsoever. All it requires is being a decent person to not do things like that. Like you said, we don't know what happened over there on that side, however I did have Elizabethton people flipping off me, my mom, and my brother as we were trying to leave. And that was in the parking lot, not in the stadium

DB cares everything about band and not one thing about football.. that's just how the school is. Drives me crazy. We were down 16 to 13 against asheville at half and after the band performed ALOT of people got up and left. But one question I have is, DB doesn't care about football (only care about band), Betsy lives and breathes football and beat db by 7. What does that really say about where Elizabethton is.

I wish Kingsport would care about football like they do Band. I love the passion and support behind the band. I just wish it was the same for football

And now I’ve been told we can’t bring our cowbells. They have their band sitting in the visitors section. And to add insult to injury, they are having their alumni band and seating them in the visitors section also. They only sent us 1,000 tickets. This is a really bad look for 6A DB. Maybe next year, we will only allow you to bring a pep band. Bunch of Chickens! LOL

Why did this thread end with negative posts???? Defense looked great, Will Hurd showed up in the 2nd half along with the run game. Went on to win 41 to 16! I guess people only care about db when they are losing...

You present a good point. Joey always talks about how "complicated" the playbook is but that's only a good thing when you are winning games.

The problem with making a qb switch is that our backup is Gib Maupin (Elizabethton transfer). He hasn't been in the program long enough to know the playbook. I have inside info confirming that he is having trouble learning to entire play book. Unfortunate because that guy can sling it.

As far as Region 1 6A, I'd say Jeff County is proving to be a Contender to win the region. They are always a number 2 or 3 in the conference. But after they beat the Hill tonight, they have an opportunity to beat SH and DB in back to back weeks. If they win next week, they will all but clinch the conference

Gib Maupin. Transfer from Elizabethton.  My mom works there and talks with the coaches quite a bit. According to her conversations with them, Gib would be the starter but he is struggling with learning the playbook. That kid can sling it though
