Can't blame ya but I think you'd have to admit if both teams are fortunate enough to meet a Dresden/Moore Co game could be epic!

No one commenting on this thread. Weird?
I think it's still early but I'm sure the replies will get rolling. I think this will be a great game. Collinwood is an extremely tough draw for anyone. If it was at Cwood I would possibly consider calling for the upset, but it's hard to go into McKenzie and come out unscathed. I'll go with Mac by 10 IF they have all healthy hands on deck.

After the region going 2-2 in the 1st round is MC really that good that they could easily win this region? (I just haven’t watched any of there games this year so I’m curious)
Obviously anyone can debate this but I've seen every team in Region 5-5A play this season. I've also seen MC. MC is balanced enough on both sides of the ball which would make me believe they would finish second at worst. Tullahoma's defense would hang tough for a half but their lack of offense would cause their D to be on the field so much that they'd wear down. The real fun shoot out type game would be Shelbyville vs Moore. They both have athletes and would put up some stats. One other point I'd make is MC has an edge with the coaching staff. I don't think they get talked about much. Against Fayetteville and Franklin Co there were half time adjustments they made defensively to put the clamps down along with personnel changes. For this season I definitely think MC could've pulled it off.

The key to City is containing that QB.

No, I didn’t attend because I figured there was a 50/50 chance Tullahoma’s offense would repeat the Shelbyville performance and I just couldn’t stomach another night like that. I just find it funny that folks thought all 4 teams from region 6 was that much better than region 5 and only gave Shelbyville a mediocre chance of winning their game.
Fair enough. Tullahoma's offense did a repeat performance but luckily the punting game kept switching the field position.
I can't blame most folks for picking the sweep. I'm not sure Tullahoma escapes with a win last night if Nolensville had their starting QB. In Shelbyville's case, I was afraid the team that showed up against Lawrence Co would lay an egg against the Burros.
Happy for both squads and their seniors to get another game out of it. The Shelbyville/ Centennial game could be a dandy.

I’m not sure of a running clock. Tullahoma’s defense will hold Page to much less than Franklin County did. Unfortunately it won’t matter because the offense won’t be able to muster enough to compete.
Yeah I can get on board with that. I really don't want to pile on the offense but that will be the downfall. It's a crying shame too. The defense plays extremely hard and well.

Congrats to Centennial by the way!

Brother if you are that miserable just come down to Lynchburg and save everyone the agony of reading your miserable posts. You and Pearcy are depressing individuals if I’ve ever seen it!
Dang! I didn't think my take was that bad. I was in Lynchburg.

Came out running the old wing T formation too. Definitely a surprise, they literally kept that in the back pocket lol
Like Novocaine, just give it time. Love the T! Congrats to Peabody!

Congrats on a big Fayetteville win! Traveling to Smith Co shouldn't be a shock after the regular season y'all played on the road. Good luck!

I find it funny nobody gave region 5 a chance; but, 2 have already advanced and Columbia has a lead and could make it 3. That’s why you play the game.
Please tell me you aren't poking out your chest on this one.

That was ugly. The eye test doesn't lie. Neither Tullahoma or Nolensville were meant to be contenders this year. Good luck next week Cats. It will be needed against Page.
Yeah Page will have the running clock going.

What’s happening in Nolensville game?
Just tell your Pats to get ready for the 3rd round

On another note Columbia is hanging in there like a hair in a biscuit. Impressed with their defensive effort especially.

Page will DESTROY the winner, Hopefully be Nolensville. I am sorry but Tullahoma deserves to lose
Either team would have a HUGE uphill battle against the Pats.

I'm glad some of y'all are confident. I remember a similar situation that happened to Moore Co in 1998. They had beaten Huntland by 3 scores in the regular season. Murphy Fair had been on a Nashville radio show that week and had mentioned that Moore was his pick to go all the way. Huntland ended up winning that '98 2nd round contest by 8 points I believe. Moral of the story is just don't be over confident since you've already beat em once. It's hard to beat a team twice in one season. They have improved in my opinion. Moore Co just needs to focus and take care of the business at hand. I think MC wins but I believe the starters play all 4 quarters for both squads.
