Coach Brown is a class act and it will be hard to follow.  Luckily he has changed the culture and shape of the program and it’s success should continue because of what he has done.

Agreed!  My son only played under him for 2 years and came to love and respect him.  He is a great man in so many ways and put his heart out on the field (and in the classroom) for every single kid in his scope of vision. We were blessed to have had him and he will be truly missed at Red Bank.

  2. I figured the first round would have some blowouts (which it did) but the second round has a LOT of 30+ point differentials as well. So I’m asking you veterans, is that typical up until the 3rd round? Will there be more? TIA!

Any good places to stop and eat before the game? Looking forward to the trip next week. Should be a good one

Central was having a lot of stuff going there way tonight. A thirty yard unsportsmanlike penalty on our coaches whenever we were just trying to argue a call. Ref said that one of our coaches used the F bomb towards him which that coach is a preacher so I highly doubt that happened lol. But MC fought hard to get back in the game. Never gave up.

At half time I just knew Central had it in the bag but here y’all are! We’ve got a couple of really great freshmen too so it’ll be an interesting game.

We have had a couple of weird calls  as well that could have cost us a game or two. 30 yard penalties are painful haha

Red Bank doesn’t have a whole lot to offer cuisine-wise but here’s a couple offerings. For a great bar burger go to Merv’s on Mountain Creek Rd. Pizza can be had at Pizza Cortile or Crust. For some decent tex-mex try Amigos.  All of these are within 5-10 minutes of the stadium.  Safe travels friend!

What’s his role? Media guy? Does he have a staff?

Hmmm I don’t think he gets paid for what he does as it seems that this is all his own work and his own media efforts (insta, Twitter, websites, podcasts, etc.. ). He may just love football and is prepping for journalism or some such thing in the future.

He does have guests and cohorts but I wouldn’t consider them “staff”

Alcoa is coming to your house next week, Lions.  Let's get ready to play some darn good football.  Glad y'all beat Loudon tonight.  They are overrated every year.  They aren't ready for the next level yet.  Hoping for a good game, no injuries, and nobody getting silly with their behavior.  Let's GO!

Besides being a little lippy, the silliest we saw tonight were the dudes wearing black and white stripes so we'll try to do better next week ;) Looking forward to it.

Good game Lions! Really proud of our Redskins this year on a very good year during a difficult time. Good luck to Red Bank, you guys have a tough one next week.

Really really good game and we sure appreciate y’all!

On a side note, imma give y’all a delayed trophy for sportsman of the match. Whomever #10 is is quite the gentleman. During a game folks usually stand out with their athleticism, speed, skills, etc.. but this dude stood out for his mannerism throughout the game. Among other things, he was picking up folks from the Lions that got knocked down, heck he helped up a Lion that knocked HIM DOWN.  Whomever his parents are, they better be darn proud. That’s a good kid. *Clap*

Its hard for me to believe my school mcminn co will be in the same district as Howard.  Cant believe they've grown by like 600 students in 6 or 7 years

It’s due to the growing Hispanic population downtown. It’s helped their soccer team DRASTICALLY but I don’t think those kids will make much of a change for the football team unless they recruit a round ball kid for kicker.

I’m surprised Red Bank isn’t getting more exposure! They have a crap ton of players with college offers a fee with sec offers.

They have some amazing players no doubt about it!  Some of those young men have multiple offers and can pick and choose as they and their families see fit.  The coaching staff seems to have a good network so we’ll see where they land! I’m definitely looking forward to it.
