Lawrence County: Four road trips a year in 5, 2 or 3 in 6. Traffic to 6A- Hwy 64- no traffic except thru Savannah and into Jackson. Traffic to 5A- Columbia, Spring Hill, Franklin, 840, Nashville, 65 north at 5PM (Greenbrier) with the exceptions of Marshall Co and Tullahoma. Would possibly play those two if they could schedule them, if LCHS was in 6A, but that is not my call.

    Region 5
Creek Wood High School (Charlotte, TN) 1:46
Glencliff High School (Nashville, TN) 1:25
Greenbrier High School (Greenbrier, TN) 1:48
Hillwood High School (Nashville, TN) 1:30
Lawrence Co. High School (Lawrenceburg, TN)
Marshall Co. High School (Lewisburg, TN)  :55
Montgomery Central High School (Cunningham, TN) 1:58
Pearl Cohn High School (Nashville, TN) 1:26
Tullahoma High School (Tullahoma, TN) 1:33

    Region 6
Chester Co. High School (Henderson, TN) 1:49
Hardin Co. High School (Savannah, TN) 1:17
Jackson South Side High School (Jackson, TN) 2:06
Lexington High School (Lexington, TN) 1:41
Liberty Technology Magnet High School (Jackson, TN) 2:06
McNairy Central High School (Selmer, TN) 1:35

That’s some rough trips for LC. Have you heard anything about the 2 pod system in r5 that was mentioned by someone in a previous post?

Only watched CW once against Springfield. There a good team. But I think Lexington can run the ball on em behind that big O line.

    Lexington-31

    CW-21

I’m still sticking to my previous somewhat prediction. One score game. Both teams in the 20’s. Like a 27-21 type score. Just hope it’s a cleanly called game with no injuries.

G.T.P.H, those who know know what it means!! Looking forward to a great game tonight.

Springfield rarely kicks deep on kick offs, we usually do a hard squib down to the 20-25. I would expect the same tonight.

    Go Jackets!!!

That kick is rough to corral. Our guys had a little trouble with it, but didn’t lose any. Your kicker does a great job with it.

Looks like Creek Wood is scared of some competition. Get ready for some big boy football. This region will be fun week in and week out. Central had a chance to move to 5A and missed the deadline. Lawrence County’s move was not justifiable. They were avoiding.good teams and were willing to drive farther for it.

Hahaha! Nobody scared here. Just the number of teams and excessive travel for all. Plus probably going to lose out on some of our local rival out of region games. I guarantee you we welcome the challenge and playing some new teams so you might as well get the “scared” idea out of your head.

The only thing is you wouldn’t host Hardin Co if CW and HC win, Hardin would host. The bracket would flip if CW and Springfield win with Springfield hosting due to being the region champ over CW. In round three, if two teams from the same region meet the higher seed hosts. Otherwise, the bracket stays as is with the host being from region 6.

From what I’ve read and understand, CW would host Hardin County. In the 3rd round and semis in even number years, the host team is from the bottom of each bracket unless the teams are from the same region, the higher seeded team would host.

This year's line is the best one Lexington has had in a long time. But, they took thier lumps. Most of them are 3 year starters, even the lone junior. They had some growing pains for a little bit

Nephew lettered at Lex in 11,12,13. Those three years they were dominant. Thought for sure they’d make it to Cookeville in 13. Went to watch him every home game those 3 years. Very good teams.

For sure it would have helped if they could have played  and if the WR hadn’t broken his leg the game could have been different.  How is he doing?  Do you know?

Not sure. Last I heard after he had MRI it was a slight fracture and he’s in a boot. Idk if that was temporary or not.

Lexington doesn’t have the speed of Springfield but their RBs are bigger. They don’t throw it like Springfield does either but they will pass it on occasion. The run is their bread and butter, and their line is more aggressive than Springfield’s too.

My wife is from Lex so I’m pretty familiar with them. Her nephew started on the line there for 3 years. They seem to always have a strong Oline.
