I really didn’t think it was that much. I mean it was 28-27 so it was pretty evenly matched overall. We were 2 inches away from the 2 Pt conversion that woulda been the winning point. But can’t let the past haunt us with the big one coming up this week.

We honestly could if we didn’t just throw deep balls to the hot route. Reggie gets tripled every play. Other wide receivers are open but they want him to throw to Reggie exclusively.

Not really. We kept Holden in check after his first touchdown. It really helped us that Brayden got hurt and we had to start a QB y’all had no film on from that season. Duke caught the majority of passes against us, including the biggest ones of the game.

I remember he caught the biggest pass of the game. We punted 4th quarter near the end and it was 3rd down and like 18, y’all were in ur own territory and he got wide open over the middle for about 20 yards and saved that drive. Crazy quick route runner

Oh yeah Holden was #23. He didn’t even beat us as bad as Duke, #20. That kid could flat fly. We paid so much attention to Holden that Duke beat us all night

Yes. I was trying not to be cocky about it since Moore county does have a finalist for mr football at QB so obviously their offense didn’t suck.

People don’t understand that. I understand their QB can throw but our Dline is the best in 1A no debate. Our D is best in 1A no debate. Yes, we haven’t played a pass heavy team, but if you watch just 10 minutes of defensive film, you’ll see how quick we get in the backfield. Yeah, Fayetteville is pretty good at what they do, but I’ll take the best defense over the second best offense

I look at stats from past games. I look at scores from past games. Everyone does. You see how well you matchup against common opponents. I just can’t wait for my boys to get everyone shut up on Friday. The fire and passion inside them is gonna come out and I cannot wait.

We are looking at Fayetteville against huntland 2 weeks ago struggling mightily, where as we beat them by 49. Huntland may have gotten a bit better not 1 million times better.

That team was great as well. Was it Dresden in 2016 that won 1A? That team wasn’t gonna be beat either. 2010 SP as well. They got beat by Polk 42-7 in the regular season, carried that anger to the championship and won 41-7. Several teams lately that weren’t gonna be beat and I think this years SP team is another one.

They had those additions two weeks ago when they were in a barn burner with huntland. A team we beat 56-7. They barely skidded past them.

I need proof that they can hang with us. And against the same team we played, they struggled mightily, twice. Regular and post season. We ran Huntland off the field and had the freshmen in the game in the 3rd quarter.

And I understand huntland probably got better, but if we had played them in the playoffs, we woulda ran them out of the state. So there lies my question, what reason do I have to believe FC can compete with us?

That’s my biggest question about FC. If they have all these speedsters and big boys, how come they played a barn burner with a team who can’t physically compete with SP. we had like 49 points at halftime in that game.

It’s easy to spread it around against sucky teams. They struggled against huntland in the 2nd round. Only won by a few. There’s no way they’ve played a defense close to this caliber. I know you think you’re just keeping it real but there’s no chance we lose. Yeah they’ll probably score a touchdown or 2 but there’s no way they stop us.

I feel like we are the best team they have played and vice versa. I think it can be close for a half but then our strength and speed wears them down in the end.

I didn’t say all because there’s a few ive never talked to. But yeah I think the same. If they get the ball first, send the house. Knock the QB on his face. I heard they like under center play action and shotgun play action. Get in the backfield the moment he fakes the handoff and set the tone. If the offense gets it first. Run it down their throats. Hunter is a mr football finalist for a reason. He’ll win it for a reason. Score early. Get them down. Something we can easily do. The only exception to that is the game we played after 3 straight off weeks.

I saw a ton of people predict close games for Monterrey, Gville and Coalfied because they had “ballers”. We saw how well that turned out. They skimmed by huntland, lost to Jasper. We’re also having faith in our team. I know half of that team personally, and I know that fire and passion burning inside of them to win this game. Y’all will know after a quarter in cookeville the outcome of the game.

I’m gonna be honest. This is South Pittsburg’s year. Other teams have had their years. No one was gonna beat that Lake County team last season, no one was gonna beat whitwell the year before, and no one was gonna beat UC in 2013, amongst other teams who have had their years. This season is the perfect storm and knowing the seniors and the team in general, they are going for the throat, ready to kill. The fire in their eyes on every play is downright scary. Coalfield found out last night what a team on a mission could do. SP wins big 49-7.

We aren’t scared. We aren’t worried. We just don’t wanna count our chickens before they hatch. It’s easy to say we’ll beat sale creek and lookout valley but once the playoffs hit you can’t be cocky. We counted our chicken early in 2013 and UC stuffed it down our throats.
