As a SS alum, I'd take it. Heck there was one point in the '23-24 year that I was concerned we'd even make the region title game. But alas, we've gotten better as we've went along.
The only team I'm really worried about is Dyersburg. We've heard all year long about how good they are. Now we'll find out in the first round.
If SS gets past the first round, I like our chances to wind up in the title game.

The SS program, men's and women's, has hung their hat on smothering defense for at least 5 years. It gets an opponent out of their gameplan, frustrates them and they wind up playing from behind.
Congrats on a good year as well. The Macon County folks showed up to support their team in the middle of a Saturday afternoon after over a 3 hr drive one way.
Kudos to a good program!

Example of refs dong too "good" of a job:
2023 AAA girls tournament semi final between South Side and Elizabethton.
Double overtime game = 48 minutes played.
Number of fouls called, you guessed it...48.
So to all refs of clear conscience, please don't be those refs. Let the kids play some...please.

We did the radio broadcast of both McKenzie games against SS. The folks in Carroll County are hospitable and welcome all with open arms.

Yep. Last night (Sat Feb 25, 2023) a kid from Chester County sank 2 free throws with 0.2 left in the game to tie it up. They wound up winning in OT over Liberty.

As a South Side alum, I'm pulling for the team that beat us.
A small consolation for us to lose to (perhaps) the state champs.
Go Lady Trojans!
Pulling for the West Tennessee teams to do well in the 23-24 title games just like we did when we went 3-4 in 22-23!
