  1. We will be better in 2021 on DL than in 2020. We have some junk yard dogs down there. We got a handful of YELLOW JACKETS down there with a nasty hard nose LAY THE WOOD TO YOU ATTITUDE. Mark my word Scruggs(tough as nails), Gunter and Gregory will have big year next year. I look for Lucus Scruggs to really have a great Sr year. Talk about the two Burnley twins for second. I close with their family on their dad's side. Spent some time with them over the holiday and both been trained from the crib to never back down or back up. C. Burnley (2) will but that RIDDELL on you. He loves a good dog fight. I've known him all his life but he show me something over there in Watertown when hen got completely ran over, got his bell rung and shoulder f up but came back after halftime and held his own with that superstar watertown had. He broke up the pass the play before the Rankin PICK. His brother k. Burnley (21) doesn't get rattled easy. Guess what we got the ball out and was throwing it around a little and GUESS what he can spin it a little. Got a nice long ball. UNBELIEVABLE to me that not one time did they put no. 2 one on one with a DB and have his bro throw it up to him. In a one on one fight for the ball my money will be on Cane Burnley to come down with it. Coaches have to know they have been throwing that pass to each other their whole life. Their twins and have a connection that most don't have. I want them Burnley's on my side in a fox hole. Our best player B Claiborne will dominate the Region (possibly state) next year. Only thing is if he stays healthy. Great vision and knows how to use his blocking. Hope everyone on Coach T had a safe healthy Christmas and a great 2021.
  2. Good morning football fans!!! On the topic of TC off-season. In the off season and into summer I would think would be the time for TC to do a UP GRADE or REMODEL the STADIUM on the CREEKBANK. Our field is as good as any in the state but the bleachers and handicap (for old people like me) needs a overhaul. Was looking through some newspaper clippings and pictures over the weekend with some friends and the stadium is the same as it was darn near 40 years ago. Just wondering if there's even discussing going on to give the CREEKBANK a make over. TC radio might be able to help with this. When was the press box upgraded? I think I'm right and i know I'll be called out if I'm not. But wasn't Coach Creasy AD at the time? I think he had to fight hard to get it done.
  3. No drug bust for any TC football player in 2020. The kid that got DWI was in Sumner co and was on a four wheeler thing. No DWI on his record. Don't think it would have been in anyone's best interest to throw the kid off the team and out of school. How would throwing the book to the young man when he had never made a plea or had a day in court. Never went to court so TC STAFF got it right.
  4. Watertown has hung with us in the Region for last several years now. They win in regular season and TC in the money games (when it counts) in playoffs. 3 years running wee knock them out of playoffs. Twice at Watertown. How does their squad look for next year?
  5. Good morning football fans As a old school yellow jacket and very new to social media I think I need to try to right a wrong I made on coach t. As someone who played for TC as will as my family.( 2 rings in our family) both coming away back when I sometimes think only about the jackets and not the other great programs in the state. It's very hard to win a state championship. Our 1973 team might have been the best team ever on the CREEKBANK BUT didn't win it all. Wish we had a Glenn Kemp, Larry Warner or a Reggie Harper today. If so I know for a fact where the GOLD BALL would be. I want to give respect to PEABODY. To win 3 straight state championships and to dominate the way they have my hat goes off to them and for Coach Jacobs ( hope spelling is correct) and staff. They have every right for calling me out on this topic. I stand by my comment but it comes from a place or me looking at the failure of us losing in the semifinals to a team that we should have beat both years. So Peabody does have the GOLD BALLS and in my opinion was the best team in the state. Sorry Peabody didn't mean to disrespect y'all. Y'all are and have been the best team in 2a really I guess since 2014. I think that's when they won their first championship. I support Coach Blake Satterfield ( I played for JIM and I know for a fact that Blake is giving it his all. I known coach Satt ever since he was born and he is a winner and a full blooded yellow jacket. He's a hard worker who is giving his all for TC football. I'm all for Coach B being the HC but he has got to see that TONS of changes need to be made on the offensive side of ball. As well as special teams. Punt returns and kickoffs are pitiful. Changes have to be made if we want to compete with Peabody and get the ball back where it should be ( in my opinion) back in HARTSVEGAS.
  6. Good Morning Football Fans He is currently the Freshman OC and Qbs Coach with varsity. Freshman team has whipped everybody both years winning county championships undefeated in both. He has always been surrounded by great coaches his whole career. Played for Clint, Creasy, and Dobbs in high school, Jim Painter and Woody Hunt in Baseball in College winning a National Championship at Cumberland. Back with Creasy after graduating college and won 2A championship in 2013. Became TC Head Baseball coach and went to Sub State first year as HC then took the Lebanon High Baseball job where he won Coach of the year and Field of the year in 2 of the 4 years he was there. Then back with Creasy again to win 2018 6A title first year back with Creasy and now winning it again in 2020. Needless to say I do know him..everybody does from TC and where he came from. Hes been fun to follow over the years. Hes a winner in my book and has the Resume to back it up too! As far as Jackson...he is the DC at Oakland and in my opinion is the the best DC in the state..who else can say they have shut out maryville?..twice really ...I believe this year I watched on my TV 30. Maryville they scored late on on the third team losing 49-7.. As far as Peabody, I believe creasy and vetetoe coaching TC in 2018 instead of at Oakland they beat them by 14+ in that game. So Peabody is just lucky Creasy left because if he would have had this last group at TC, I believe most High school football followers knows what would have happened. #FACTS
  7. Good morning football fans Life is about moving forward not backwards. It's my understanding that TC is going to keep the offensive coordinator that we have now for next year and that Coach Vetetoe would be a assistant ( with the defense) LOL. Heck or defense held all year for us. When you hold a team in the semifinals of the state playoffs to 16 points then your defense did it's job. Offence was so predictable and staggant we only got as far as we got because of talent and toughest. The problem is the offense. Coach Vetetoe is all about moving forward not backwards. His time will come. I see coach Vetetoe as a OC for someone then I see him as a HEAD COACH for someone in his future. For us ex players and heck the whole community we want to see TC staff put the kids in the best position to win BIG TIME GAMES. When the talent is equal the you can't just win on toughest and 4 or 5 PLAYS. 3 of them plays run it straight up a A Gap. The talent is on the CREEKBANK now it time to open it up.
  8. Good morning football fans. Coach Vetetoe will be staying at Oakland. TC NEEDS HELP ON THE OFFENSIVE SIDE OF THE BALL!! You know when women in the stands tell you where the ball is going then opposing team has to know. PUT 8 MEN IN THE BOX AND PRACTICE ALL WEEK ON 4 OR 5 PLAYS. It's my opinion if we had a better offensive plan Coach Satterfield would be wearing a RING (maybe 2) by now. We'll see how it goes. Not hard to scout TC. 4 or 5 PLAYS and not using the great talent that is down on the CREEKBANK. Talked to a Lot of people in town last night and 100 percent of the old yellow jackets that I talked to want something different on the offensive side of the ball. It's my opinion that Coach Vetetoe could have really helped with that like ASAP. Coach will remain at Oakland and I wish him the best as he goes for another 6A state title with the Patriots.
  9. Good morning high school football fans. I'm a old school yellow jacket from 10x state champ Trousdale Co. Word is out on the town that another yellow jacket could be on his way back home to be back on the TC coaching staff. Coach Eric Vetetoe who has been on the Oakland Patriots coaching staff and coached under coach Creasy I think 7 year total at TC and Oakland. He has been apart of multiple state championship teams and is great at getting the most out of his players. Coach Vetetoe can handle baseball as well. He was the catcher on Cumberland NAIA national championship team and head ball coach at TC and Lebanon high schools. Best of luck coach and hope to see you back in purple and gold soon
