A head coach should be a full time employee. There are viable applicants, but with the situation as is, anyone who is serious about winning, and knows how, wont have the resources to do so.

I question the principals ability to hire a coach that will stay the course and can do the right things considering the handcuffs put on them by the school board. Track record of hiring, is not to good.

Used to be a great place to work and coach. Classroom is probably still good, but athletics is a joke. Get this, not only does the school board NOT pay for ANY assistant coaching supplements for football, the DICTACTE the maximum amount a school can pay an assistant football coach even if donations/fundraisers are held to be able to pay assistants! What a crock of crap from a school system that does not value extra-curricular. All of this was begun years ago as a threat to get the county commission to increase the amount of money given to schools. The threat didnt work. Since then its been a revolving door of coaches with the exceptions of a couple who live there and have accepted the lunacy. Harpeth, Cheatham, and Sycamore used to play physical, country boy, hard nosed football and be a threat in the playoffs to make a run. Not anymore. Pitiful now!
