Thanks. I'm usually late to the party. I don't do Twitter or FB.
Could they stay in house and go with Coach Seaton?

Hearing Pearl may be getting RB from Haywood. Big if true.

I don't that it's about them getting "better." Not at this point in the season. I think they just didn't bring their A-game vs Riverside. They came ready to play vs Lewis Co.
That combined with the fact that Lewis and Riverside aren't even in the same conversation in regards to competition is why Milan looked so good last week.
That being said, if they play this week like they did last week and Huntingdon doesn't come out sharp, Milan has a team that can beat us. I think both teams playing their best that Huntingdon wins, but a few bad bounces could really swing this game into Milan's favor.
Good post. Can’t really argue any of your points other than if we both played our A game would we being more balanced on offense make a difference. It would be interesting to find out.

I agree it will be a great game but obviously you have not seen Ensworth . They looked like a college team and would dwarf everyone on MASE. So to say we haven’t seen the size or speed you all have is a joke. We have seen a lot bigger and a lot faster.
Agree 100%.

I’m going to say this and you Huntingdung guys may totally disagree with me. But we got down 14-0 in the first 7 mins or so. Then for the next 40 mins we outscored you guys 14-12. Once we got calmed down and got our emotions in check we played with you guys. Yes y’all tacked on a td in the final minute to make the final score what it was but for the vast majority of that game we were right there with you. We have to be focused from the opening whistle. Keep our emotions in check and give 100% on every snap. If we do this we can win this game.
I agree. Most if not all our mistakes the first game are correctable and I think we have yet to play our best game. If we make those adjustments and play a clean game I think it will be a close game going to fourth quarter and who knows what can happen then.

Our defense has to be better this Friday. We have to get some stops and give our offense a chance to make some plays.
Props to defense for stepping up last night. Hopefully they carry that over to next Friday.

Some of the best Milan teams I every watched were when George Kidd played, but that was along time ago
Yes those were some good teams but I may be a little biased. George was a special talent for sure.

I think Milan bounces back in a strong fashion and might take this game Convincingly.
Not taking anything from Lewis, but I feel like last week was not the typical team they have had this whole season
Hope you’re right. If y’all play like you did Friday night y’all will be hard to beat the rest of the way. Impressive team.

Only downside @ Riverside's field happens after a rainfall. Seating is OK...not the biggest or the newest, but usually not completely filled unless a really large fanbase shows up. Plenty of room on the fence too.

People were standing all around the field. Great atmosphere. Of all the Peabody (and Riverside) games I have seen , that was my favorite.
Thanks. Not sure if we will fill it but I would expect a good crowd from Milan. Hoping for a good game and atmosphere.

I have not been to Riverside in a while. How is the visitor seating?

What sucks is you having no respect for the history of the game. Did you ever play the game or did you ever play against the Mustangs. Probably not. Just another jealous loser!
Keep posting Sir. I have respect for someone who has a passion for their team and cares about the kids in their community. Kids these days need all they can get.

Well that's 4 skankings in a row for Huntingdon. Bet you never thought when you coined the word that you would get skanked on a regular basis! I'm beginning to like it!
4 in a row? Y’all’s math is turning from comical to sad.

Not sold on Milan yet. They haven't beaten a good team yet. Would flip flop them with the Mustangs!
Not sold on Milan is a fair opinion but insinuating that the you have beaten better competition so far this year well I guess we can agree to disagree.

With all the running going on in Dyersburg this may be the most exciting and entertaining game Friday night. I like Hardin County at home in a close high scoring game.

Are these the top 10 teams in West TN after 2 weeks. State your case.
Come on @BIGPURPLEMACHINE I see one one glaring mistake I can’t let slide.

Looks like we last played in 2000. Been a few years.

Dyersburg will have one of the best teams as far as trench play in West TN this year. If we can play well on the LOS against them that will be a great sign. Did Carson Pruitt play? I noticed where the newspaper mentioned on Facebook we won the varsity portion of the scrimmage 4-1 and we had 3 passing tds but none to him. I would have assumed he would be our best receiver.
I believe it ended up 6 or 7 to 2. Neither Pruitt or Depriest played. We dropped probably 2-3 more but the young guys looked good. When they did catch it they were gone. I was a little worried about the new QB but he throws a good ball. You can tell Coach Carr has been working with him.
-
I thought we looked good for the first scrimmage. I was impressed with Coach Benson and our line play so far. Next week at Dyersburg will be interesting to see how they do. We had a few important guys out hopefully just for precaution since it’s early.
-
I had the privilege of playing for Coach Sharp. Good to see him back. He will definitely help our program. Welcome back to the family Coach Sharp.

I think we have the right guy now so hopefully he will get a chance and we will get back to Milan football within the next couple of years and hopefully we make a better decision next classification.

Has this group of seniors ever beat a football team from Trenton? Jr. High, Trenton put a running clock on Milan. Freshman year, Trenton put a running clock on Milan. JV year, you guessed it Trenton put a running clock on Milan. Do I think it will be a competitive game, I sure do. But, to think Trenton is nervous no way. The question is will Milan match the physicality that is coming to them on Thursday? I do not see it happening. Milan has some players, but their line will be worn down by the fourth quarter and that is when our offensive line will enforce their will on Milan. I see a replay of two years ago when Milan was up at the half, but then our line absolutely took the game over. I would be nervous if I knew that in 45 hours I was going to have 5 guys all around 300 pounds fixing to whoop my butt in front of thousands of people.
Just joking. No bad intentions. It will be a tough game for Milan Thursday as you said. Hopefully we can give y’all a good game. Much respect for Trenton.
