  1. Hard to say.  Will depend on how good everyone else is.  Should win their district no problem.  I've seen two of their pitchers and they're pretty good.  LHP blew away Summertown (full team).  RHP dominated Westmoreland.   Hitting is a little suspect and they are well coached.

I don’t know if ER is top 3 in 1A at this time but they should probably be top 5.

ER is tough to say.  I've seen them twice.  Two starters I've seen are pretty good.  They would've beat Summertown if the lefty hadn't come out after 5 shutout innings.  Summertown didn't touch him at all.  ER hitting is suspect.  Good coaching though.

East Nashville is probably the best 2A team in the state and has killed Pearl Cohn.

4 classes has severely watered down the product. There are a bunch of teams with great records that are not very good. I watched a 20 win team get beat by about 40 last week. . Heck, Greenbrier's record is great but lose to Portland? Seriously?

Yeah East sorry not Cohn.  But that district is awful except for those two teams.   But my whole question was about District 10 3A.    You go off on your own stupid rant.

Who exactly does District 9 play that is "good"?

All the districts are extremely watered down with 4 classes.

I didn't say D9 did play good teams but they are obviously better than Metro's District.  3/4 wins the other night.

Metro basketball is bad.  4A Cane Ridge  and 2A Cohn and that's really it.

  5. Portland finally got its win vs. Greenbrier.  and Creekwood is pretty good as a 3.  So can MLK or Maplewood stop those two from getting to sectionals?  Don't know much about that district.  Except they don't really play anybody good.

Winning ? Last in your division 0-4 , Rucker-Stewart 44 Portland East 7. Do they have mercy rule in  boys middle school basketball ? How many points did your team have at the half ?  I win wherever I go ? Not this season.  I believe I’d stay off Coach T and start coaching your own team. SPT land wishing for you to have a good rest of the season.

We actually have 2 wins.  What does STP stand for anyway?  Can't spell stupid without STP

Even Cal has one bad season.  I think it's cool that I am researched so much.  Like I said- STP land breeds ignorance.

Mike Hollingsworth Portland middle school girls basketball coach back when the Jackets are down. Why you mad Mike? Cause Springfield let you go? Just like every other school you've been at? Mikey doesn't have a thing to say until the Jackets lose.

Portland Middle School Girls Basketball?   Do they breed ignorance in STP land?  I win wherever I go. See ya next season losers.

If I'm reading this the wrong way I'll apologize ahead of the post, but if I'm not misinterpreting your thoughts, you are wrong. Coaches are (99%) teachers too...some get to include their sport within the framework of their daily schedule and some do not. Some have grounds keeping duties included and some do not. Some have 70 kids and 10 assistant coaches to monitor, and some have 18 and one assistant, but all coaches within the same system deserve to be paid the same as their counterparts within the system. The coaches hired at JCM were hired to coach their sport and nothing else other than facilitate their own sport's feeder system (most coaches would love that), while their counterparts at South Side, North Side, ect...still have classroom duties and a substantially smaller salary. Crazy to think that this isn't fair??? I can't understand what logic would suggest that it is.

Most school systems pay their coaches based on the sport and their overall salary.  If basketball is 12% then the coach gets that X the salary added to it.  What a coach does with their time is up to them.
