  1. You said that it doesn't take any coaching to win with an all-star team but then you say that teams with ridiculous talent underachieve year after year. Help me make sesnse of this.
  2. The AREA tournaments are strictly by invitation. Many teams choose not to even play in their area tournament so it waters it down tremendously.
  3. They should be. Which teams are not part of TMSAA?
  4. Hypothetically - So if Springfield let's say is not advancing to the Region, then you want another region to host their tournament at Springfield? You want Springfield personell to be there to hold concessions, do gate, open the doors, setup, clean the gym, lock up, etc.
  5. You should see a middle school game sometime. They don't call enough fouls. I get the game will last longer but that's too bad. These kids are killing each other. There was a ref last night too worried that the chairs weren't inside the box. It was like 1/2 inch outside the box.
  6. Talking about stipends for supervisors? Are you a supervisor - just curious. I know that in MidTN the association charges 120$ per official. Where does that money go? It goes into the pocket of the assignor. I know assigning is difficult to put in all those schedules and deal with cancellations, turn backs, etc. I quit reffing because of this.
  7. Chase Runyon of Portland is in there. He scored 34 Tuesday night at Northeast. 20 in the Q1. He only took 12 shots in the game. He can light it up.
  8. Banned from postseason 2 years!! Here we go!
  9. Pretty sure Lipscomb Academy has bigger issues!
  10. They should change their name back to Rebels and they'll win more.
  11. Ok but that doesn't get you canned.
  12. Well it wouldn't be an official doing it anyway. Officials don't keep the game clock either.
  13. Every sports media person I know was in favor of it. Regarding the shot clock in Football and Basketball, it's not anywhere near comparable. It's not a step back at all. We've been doing it for like forever. I also don't think it has to do with the game itself but the logistics of it. Liberty Creek in Gallatin already has one set up in it's gym because they were given bazillions of dollars by the school system, but not every school would be able to do this as easily.
