FWIW I think it won’t effect many small schools or at least ones who don’t even care about having a winning pedigree in Football., but the ones it does will have a huge advantage. If it gets so bad where the same teams are winning over and over, which is inevitable in A-AA they will have no answer but to police it. Only way I can think to do that is have any Public school playing in D1-A-AAAA list any amount donated, raised, or used on acquiring, upkeeping, or even rent and stuff paid on each player and add it all up and let them play each other compared to how much they have spent, because I guarantee you there are some schools losing money playing football, but yet some have very deep pocketed benefactors. Of course that would force TSSAA to do their research and actually hold schools accountable for having advantages so we can forget about that.

Agreed TSSAA is only about investigating how much money you put into their coffers 

Clay County fan here. Hope the game is good and competitive but I just don’t think we have the horses to run with the Pirates this year. Hopefully the boys use this as motivation for preparing for next season.

Who you got in this 1st round game? Think it should be fun to watch.

Very sloppy first half for Clay. Got serious in the second half but did get bit by some inspired play at times by RBS.

I think Clay walks in this one, although I do believe that RBS will be out for some payback after last years game.

No running clock in this one, Dawgs were just plain sloppy. Thought JoByrns initially had a solid game plan and could be a blue print against us but they had their initial drive and we’re done. Still a solid win for the Dawgs. 25-6 final.

I see Clay winning this one by 21. Getting their defense set for a strong run at the region title.

Westy should roll in this one.

I think Clay wins this defensive struggle.

If the Bulldogs can stop Westy and offensively get the edge they win. If not both then Westy takes it.

Clay County at Gordonsville this year should be a great game. CC got Gordy last year twice but they lost the core of that team. This game is always physical and both teams are full of vitriol towards each other as these kids grow up playing each other. 

Surprised MTSU and Murphreesboro haven’t gone after this with as much success they have with Basketball.

Good year for East Tennessee football indeed lots of great teams. Now we prepare for next season and see who steps up and falls back, what makes high school football the best IMO. Congratulations to all the state champions and runner ups for great seasons.

Congratulations to McKenzie on a great season and game. Still mighty proud of my Dawgs, not the outcome I wanted but the one I will have to live with. Both teams had great years and the finish was well deserved.

I agree if the talent level is so disproportionate a coach should jump at the opportunity to play younger guys to gain game experience and maturity of dealing with the situation. As for the beat down just remember one day your up and one day your down and folks remember and seek revenge.

The games next weekend will feature 18 fine clubs all aiming for the same prize. I will be available in the concourse at different times throughout the weekend for some autograph and photograph sessions.  Many of the coachT posters will need to be at Finley Stadium to get a rare opportunity to breathe some of the same air a legend such as myself inhales. I will be keeping my eye on the young lads tomorrow night around the state from 36 different clubs to know who I will be viewing next week. There will be many young lads looking to achieve legend status next weekend in Chattanooga. My publicist will be contacting coaches from the winning teams tomorrow night to offer them an autograph opportunity upon their arrival at Finley Stadium next weekend.  I will have my personal police escort from the premises as soon as the games are over each day so I ask that everyone stay back and don't interfere with the entrance and exit from the concourse. I will be heading to Chattanooga Airport immediately after the game and will not have time for any autographs at that time. I will be staying at The Read House next weekend, but please don't attempt to locate me there as my reservation isn't listed under my living legend name.  I am looking forward to a festive atmosphere next weekend as many young lads and coaches try and achieve legend status. Always remember achieving legend status is a choice!
