A healthy SP is a scary thing. I hate that the Mount kid is out tonight because in my opinion he is a very special player. There are a lot of kids on the team that can make a difference. I would like to SP in Chattanooga but they have to click as a team.

This shouldn't be the only time they play this season. Meigs is a great team but I think Marion is on the right track right now and that's what will give them the advantage tonight. Playing at home helps too.

27-13 is what I am thinking. Meigs is good but Marion is firing right now and a win tonight will just make them better going into the playoffs. Marion needs this win and they will get it 

As long as Marion's line plays like they have been then they should be good in this one. I am excited to see this one as it should be a good game. I personally think with the right blocks and Marion's speed a lot of people are going to be surprised.

I agree with this. It does nothing for SP. If anything it hurts SP playing a team like this before the playoffs. I will add this to my previous post.... if SP comes away with no injuries they can count that as a W too. This was honestly a stupid decision on whomever was for this game happening.

I understand that but it worries me because even as a freshman he has the ability to make an impact in a game like Meigs.

Can't overlook any game on any schedule. I think Marion will handle this one but it's on them on how bad they want to win. The young guys will see a lot of playing time Friday and I think they will need to keep Pickett limited because they will need him against Meigs. I just hope everyone comes out of this game safe and sound

That Stone and Grider man need to pull some tricks out of their bags.  I have been looking at Oakland's roster and, as everyone knows, they are stacked.  They are #26 in the nation which is going to be crazy to see at Beene Stadium. The back up running back is a 3 star prospect too add to their receiver that's committed to Miami and the back that is committed to UGA ( which is averaging over 9 per carry ).  I know they will call they dogs off early but you can't tell the young kids to not show out.  Their JV is more talented than SP's starters and that stems from location and size of the school. I am not saying anything to bash SP by any means but I will say this.... If SP can put any points on the board then it's considered a W for SP.  I would give @Roy Dillard's whole Lodge cast iron collection to see SP get the ball first and pull off some kind of trick play to score quick and lead. Honestly though SP will have a tough time crossing the 50. 

I think this game will a close one with Gordonsville edging it out 34-27

If SP's line can improve then SP should be able to win this game by as much as they want to. I'm calling SP by 3 tds.

Ronnie's Red Eye does have a good burger but nothing compares to that Allison mans burger.

It's not really that the well is drying up it's just that Vic isn't there and up to his usual shenanigans. A lot of parents are letting the kids decide for themselves where they want to go and that makes a difference. Now that Jones is gone doesn't help either. I know for a fact that he had already been in contact with a few kids who's " kinfolks " just happen to live in some of that Jones man's and Layne's man rentals. Pirate fan will bash that Jones man until they need some more players.

I think this will be a good game with Kingston pulling away late in the 3rd.

One of the biggest things I have learned is you can't look past no team. Tellico and Polk look like W's for Marion but a win isn't secured until that clock hits 0. Tyner will be a tough game and I don't think Pruitt will let them look past any game especially Tyner. Marion has been favored to beat Tyner before and got their tails handed to them. I am going to say this again... If that line can get better then they have a good chance to make a run into the playoffs and have some good key wins going into it.

Yes if the line can start blocking. Have you not watched the games? They have made some good blocks but nowhere near what is expected of them. They have some players that need to get that " mean streak " in them. If that happens then it could be a long night for opponents.

OCT 29 will be a showdown Meigs @ Marion. Marion still has some kinks to work out but if they do then Meigs better be ready. I think Marion sitting at #5 is just right for them. Their next 4 games will show what they are made of in Jasper. If the line can start blocking up to their potential then Marion County will be a force in 2A.

Riverside will continue to roll in 6 2A. 

Lake Co has to lock in and execute their game plan and not go away from it. Lake Co has some very talented kids and a good overall squad and they can keep themselves in this game if they want to. 

The Pirates of South Pittsburg are going to go down to Stevenson tonight and make their fans proud. This game will be one sided. The only thing NJ has a chance to win is the coin toss. Covid has taken a lot of hype away from this game and Mr Jones leaving has too, but I will promise you " that Stone man ", as Mr Dillard says, will have those boys ready. That Stone man is one of the smartest coaches in the state and for the most part he has showed he is true to the school and he has wanted to make this game happen for a while. For everyone saying it will be close you will be leaving with your jaw dropped. SP 53 NJ 20 

Hello all! This is my first post here on CoachT. I am usually the guy that sits back and reads the message boards but I figured why not join them today. 

It is looking like MC is going to give Forrest all they can handle and then some, but Forrest is 4-1 for a reason. They haven't faced a team like MC yet and even though it is likely they come out of this game 4-2 I don't see them leaving without a fight. MC has some talented kids and the oline is one of the best in 2A. They have some great coaches that are pretty good at adjusting too. I don't know a whole lot about Forrest but that they are 4-1. I have been to Forrest a couple of times to see these 2 go head to head in the playoffs and it wasn't pretty. MC had great teams those years. I see this being a close game for the first half and that's it. MC is just to quick on both sides of the ball and Forrest will not be able to adjust to the speed. I'm going with MC 48 Forrest 13. 

I seen someone say something about Meigs having an easy road in the east.... In the words or Lee Corso " NOT SO FAST MY FRIEND "!  This MC team is hungry and they are looking better every week. They are playing kids that are in all grades 9-12. That Pickett kid is going to be as good as his daddy was down the road in South Pittsburg. As long as the injury bug doesn't hit MC they should hit the playoffs wide open. Like I said above... they are getting better each and every week. This is not a team to overlook and a lot of people know that. It just seems to me that Meigs fans have blinders on and don't want to acknowledge the elephant in the room. I'm not saying that MC can blow Meigs out but I am saying they can beat them. I just want to make it clear that I am not an MC fan. I am a football fan.
