Awesome game Hornets!! Y’all played your hearts out!!! Haywood had to dig deep to get this win!!
now let’s go Tomcats!!!! Let’s show Tullahoma who we are!!!

We know who you are. Y'all been here 5 times in recent history. You need little introduction. We were here once in 1987. Pretty sure we know how good your program is. Our problem is we don't know how good our team is this year. We keep finding out week by week. We've got a good thing going over here, but how good is the big mystery. I won't even begin to predict what the outcome of the game might be. It will be a good game and Betsy will get the best of the west either way. And we both know they ain't sweating it. Win or lose after you get over the long drive, you will enjoy the game atmosphere over here. They really try to make it a nice event.

  2. One of the nicest things about Tullahoma is we are only 77 miles to the state championship stadium in Chattanooga. How we got in the west bracket I'll never know. We have bounce houses set up in front of the stadium for some tailgating for the kids and usually a few food vendors with seating to eat before the game. It is real nice being that we have been at home for 8 games this season.

If Tulahoma can hang in long enough PC usually has enough penalties to kill their chances in big games!!

Pearl playing like a championship bound team tonight. My hats off to them. It is not the team that came to Tullahoma a few weeks ago. They are on all cylinders tonight. Tullahoma has not seen this level of competition all season. It is the best of the best.

Gonna look pretty stupid when you get your teeth knocked out creeping around North Nashville

I was born over at Baptist. I’m a Nashville native. I was there before metro was a metro.  Sincerely I hope the game goes down to the last play. Haywood and Greeneville are gonna be games to remember for a long time for either of us. We don’t get here much I just like to keep everyone entertained.

I think we are just going to send our freshmen team over to Brownsville this Friday to take care of the little bump in the road. That a way our starters will be good and fresh for Tully, or PC next Friday.

It’s Tully if you want to get directions and start checking out places to eat. It’s a real nice stadium and a great atmosphere. PC got enough gold balls, it’s our turn.

    Smh!!!

It's all about keeping your mind on the big picture and not living for the moment. Showboating don't let you play for gold footballs. Controlling your emotions lets you play for gold footballs. I didn't mean any disrespect to the players. They are talented athletes, I have seen that on the field. But in a close game ,against a tough well prepared opponent, discipline really helps you get to the next level. Getting called for penalties because you wanted to tackle out of bounds or you needed that last hit after the play was dead will cost you wins when you are this deep into the season.  If you hand a good team an extra 75 yards from the yellow flags you might be watching the championship game on TV. I use to tell kids, "Act like you have been here before" .  And to quote Samuel Jackson "When is winning not enough?"

  7. How many Pearl-Cohn starters got ejected tonight against Hardin County? How many will get ejected during the Tullahoma game? How many penalty yards will the Firebirds give up? I want to say that the most disciplined team will prevail. Tullahoma played a textbook first half last time and played a train wreck second half. I see the Cats playing a much more aggressive game in both halves.  Tullahoma is firing on all cylinders as of tonight. Pearl-Cohn may not be 100% after a hard fought game at Hardin County.   My edge goes to Tullahoma as it seems like all their bases are covered. It may be a close game but I wrap this one in Cardinal and Black.

The first game their were two offensive turnovers that were returned for TD's.  Central's D held them to two TD's and forced three FG's. Central will pound the rock and Central's defense will bring pressure from everywhere.  Their OL will be guessing all night where are they coming from. It will be a chess match. Their defense has been very consistent and I don't expect anything less from them.  If Central can pull off an upset they will host either Pearl or Hardin County.  More than likely Pearl.  I know they would love to get their hands on Brown again.   I do think Tullahoma is a great team, BUT that is why the game is played between the lines.  "GO INDIANS".

Was y’all saving that blitzing defense for the second half because I’m seeing 42-0 at halftime.

Two and and half hours till game time. Giving a chance of rain around game time. Hoping it don’t amount to much. Wanted this game played on a dry field and dry football!

Well at least its the last game to be played on that field this season. Because regardless of who wins, the next contest is in Tullahoma, I reckon.

  10. I expect the Wildcats to get ahead pretty early and force the Indians into playing catch up ball the rest of the game. And we know how that usually ends, interception, interception, didn't convert on 4th and 5 and a short field for the cats. I don't know if we play sophomores for 3 full quarters but sure we will see several after the game is put away. I hope the cats do get tested some tonight as it would be a good warm up game for when Hardin County comes to town next week.

The east even gets home field advantage! The championship game being played in East TN is crappy to me. It should have stayed in the middle of the state.

If Tullahoma should make it to face the east bracket opponent in the title game we would be much closer to Chattanooga than Greeneville. So home field advantage is not a fore gone conclusion, yet.

  12. Section 7. Student Athletes Ejected for Unsportsmanlike Conduct in Any Sport A. In contests in which registered TSSAA officials are involved, the officials will immediately notify the state office with a written report if players are ejected for unsportsmanlike conduct. In soccer, this does not apply if the ejection occurs as the result of a player receiving a red card for his/her second caution. In sports where registered TSSAA officials are not used, it will be the responsibility of the principal and/or coach of the player involved to report this incident to the state office. B. On the ejection of the student-athlete, the school will be required to submit a report on the action of the player and any disciplinary action taken by the school. The minimum penalty will be as follows: 1. Football – 1 Game Suspension

    MERCY

This was at Tullahoma. She was 6th place in her class 2020 for GPA. They have lots of Honors and AP classes and dual enrollment with Motlow State. The valedictorian took summer AP classes at Stanford for $5000 to get the highest GPA. We have a offensive lineman that is a National Merit Scholar semi-finalist. She likes Vandy but the dining is better at Belmont.

Unfortunately he is.  I believe he has offers from Tusculum and Maryville College right now.  Has been to camps at ETSU and Eastern KY over the summer.  I don't know why most colleges think he is undersized and could be a good slot receiver also with the catches he has made this yea, It's not grades either with a 3.7 GPA and a 29 on his ACT. Someone will get a Gem where ever he goes.

Those grades are right up Vanderbilt's alley. I've got a sophomore there now she had 4.56 gpa and a 35 ACT but for a decent slot receiver them numbers should get him a spot with the Black and Gold. He might go 3-8 for a few seasons but he can get some excellent schooling. Vandy ain't like normal college, but it is pretty nice once you adjust.

  15. It was 37-7 the first go round and I thought the Cats played with them on the first few possessions. I don't expect the Cats to mess around this time.  I think we own the air, I think we own the line and I think it will be 21-0 after 1 quarter and then we will intercept several passes as they try to catch up. I'll call it 49-14 with mercy clock running the whole second half and we play everyone on our sideline before the games out. They may not be as good as Chester County.

  16. Can Hardin County kick every kickoff 5 yards deep into the endzone? That helps. Barion Brown jumped up 4 feet into the air on the goal line to pull down 1 kickoff just so he could get a run and not start at the 20 everytime. Hardin should have the Defense to own between the tackles but those sweeps and screens out to the sides are fast. Putting anyone one on one with PC #7 is a mismatch. Keep the safeties and fastest D-backs between #7 and the endzone. They do have 2 other kids that catch 90% of what comes their way. Bring the house to the QB as much as possible. If he gets 3 seconds to pass, he will find someone open every time. They have a full bag of tricks. They might also be the most penalized team we played this year. There was an awful lot of laundry on the field with them. They play a bit more physical football after the play or when your out of bounds. Set that tone to them early that "not in my house" and things should go better. We had #7 leave the field several times after some pretty hard hits to him but he always came back for more. The coach can coach but there did seem to be an overall lack of team discipline and that cost them some crucial yards in the game. Good luck, they are 9-1 for a reason.
