MJ beats Lebanon and Green Hill pretty easy
Gallatin beats Wilson Central and Lebanon
MJ finshes 1st, Gallatin 2nd

Principal and AD made the hire not the school board.
-
AD is Darrin Joines, longtime basketball coach at Beech before going to Williamson County. Good guy. I don’t have a problem with the firing. 1-26 will you fired a lot of places.
-
He’s fine, will be ready for Portland next Friday. He went on his official visit to Navy Saturday.

I would agree that HC is the favorite to come out of the West.

Guys in the booth said concussion, thanks for the info

Baker has not played in the 2nd half, possible concussion

Hville up 21-7 at the half

The jackets D looked improved last night against Portland’s wing T. I am not so gullible to think that Hendersonville’s wing T will be as easy to defend. I am looking forward to a competitive, close, injury-free game. The winner finishes third in the region and the loser fourth. We both make a first round trip to Memphis
Hville runs very little Wing T these days. Spread with Baker in the shotgun and 1 back next to him, 2 or 3 WR split out. May run it a little if they have a lead and are trying to run clock. May have ran 2 or 3 plays against Beech and 2 or 3 against Siegel.

Let’s clear some things up… Langfords call didn’t come from a certain principal, it came from the DA. The certain principal argued the kid should be able to play. Apparently part of the final decision you left out is the no contact order. The DA said since the victim was on the Beech team, the HHS kid couldn’t be on the field. That certain principal and Crabtree argued that the Beech player wasn’t going to play anyway and to let the HHS kid play. The DA said no. Langford didn’t have an option and the certain principal certainly had nothing to do with making a call to get the kid not to play.
Not true. Kid was told last week as was the administration that he would play. Practiced all week with the first team knowing he would play. Why the last minute call then to HHS yesterday telling him he could not play? Doesn’t matter, Beech won the game, congrats to them, Same old good ole boy from the director just like Phillips.

He declared a player ineligible for tonight’s game at 5 today. Hendersonville’s best defensive player. It was from the hazing incident from last year. Final decision was reached last week. 20 hours of community service for 3 players, letter of apology. Judge said ok for him to play. I suspect Langford got a call from a certain principal and made his decision at 5. Take nothing away from Beech, they deserved to win. Unacceptable from Langford.

Good job Beech, poor effort by the Commandos. Note to Director of Schools Scott Langford, you are a bleep bleep.
-
Not buying into the blowout. Beech is a product of playing a very tough schedule and being young. 2 losses to top 10 6-A schools by 7 and 2 points. Last week they gave up less than 200 yds but turned the ball over several times which contributed to the loss. I expect this one to go to the 4th quarter and be a close game. Commandos will have to bring their A game to come out on top.
-
Agreed, whoever wins this one likely will host a home playoff game. A very big deal for both schools. Do you want Riverdale or Oakland in the first round or Blackman-Siegel?

Jackets win 28-14

Wave win 35-21

This covers knee pads and eye black.

From the TSSAA. Not good. Supposedly referees who don’t enforce will not get playoff assignments.
-
Nice win for the Commandos as they defeat the Stars 28-21. Have to be exhausted after chasing Sentel around all night. Commandos stopped Siegel on their own 25 on 4th down with a minute to go to seal the win. Good job guys, most everybody picked you to lose.

Happy Birthday to Coach Jim Thompson! He founded Coach T 26 years ago on October 15th.

Pretty cool gesture by one of our QB club members last Friday night. Every player for HL got a bag with a sandwich, chips, and a drink when they got on the bus after the game. The young men should be commended for their efforts.

Wave will win against Wilson Central as long as the bus doesn’t break down. The season comes down to Lebanon, a win likely gets you #2, a loss could knock you out completely. Wave should beat the Blue Devils by 14 to 21 points.
