Commandos up 7-0 45 seconds in/ 6 penalties so far on both teams

Hats off to Brentwood, I expect them to be in Chattanooga from the west. They whipped us in every phase of the game. No excuses, get back to work on Monday.

I counted 3 tds atleast against Hville. Clarksville went one series as did we. Not enough substance there to make a judgement.
Hville had 4 TD’s against MJ’s 1’s. Hville is doing something tomorrow night that your team is not familiar with. Playing a ranked team. In fact we have 2 more games against ranked teams, do you have any? The answer is no. You will go 10-0 in the regular season, maybe win your first playoff game and then get eliminated by Oakland or Riverdale. Your strength of schedule is probably in the bottom 25% of 6-A. You could play Beech or Hville, too risky I guess.

I’m well aware, it’s fine if comparing scores stays true than a team that we scrimmaged and had the upper hand against… will get humbled by Brentwood.
We may get humbled by Brentwood but you did not have the upper hand against Hville. You also didn’t have the upper against Clarksville either.

They are going to need to pull out multiple big wins somewhere down the line to do so, tough schedule both in and out of region
True, in addition to Brentwood still have tough ones in HC, Beech, and Springfield in the region. Lebanon and Siegel outside the region. Defensive and offensive lines need to continue to improve.

Have seen both MJ and GHS play. Comparisons below.
Receivers- edge to GHS
Rb and QB- even
Offensive line- edge MJ
Kickers- even ( Gallatin issues last week were snap related, kicker has a big leg)
Defensive line- edge MJ
Secondary- edge to MJ
Overall speed- edge to GHS
if I am MJ I will play 5 DB’s the entire game like Hville did. Can’t let McMurray or Williams beat u deep. Hville defense gave up 25 points against these guys which is not bad. On offense pound Crudup and take deep shots early and often. If I am Gallatin I will go with a lot of 4 wide sets and hope to get McMurray or Williams isolated on a safety deep. Need a 100 yd night from Brinkley to keep the defense honest.

Go Panthers, beat the Big Red!

Next 2 games for Beech are on the road, right?

Was told it was because the board hadn't approved temp bleachers yet. Temps won't be sitting where the old bleachers were. Curious what others (HHS, Portland) are doing about temp bleachers so far. Beech's were on the ground but was told the board made them load them back up and take them back.
3 sections of the temp bleachers are set up on the visitor side at Hville. Home games coming up are Northeast this week and Brentwood next week.

Hey looky there. The oldest standing football home side in the state (correct me if I'm wrong) are hanging in there pretty well if they are deemed safe for use after a thorough inspection.
Compliments to the Waveyard. Visitors side was nice and even had air conditioned bathrooms.

Bleachers to seat 800 were delivered to HHS yesterday afternoon for the visitors side.

Station Camp really doesn’t throw it that well. They are a running team mostly between the tackles. Hville got almost all of the rushing yards on the perimeter. Station Camp’s D is pretty good against the run but not the pass. Just a bad matchup in a lot of areas. Rivalry game so you never know.

Never thought in my lifetime I would see a Gallatin-Hendersonville game with 80 points scored and 600 yards passing (Baker 369, Stroup 231), and over 900 yards total offense. Baker’s night was a school record for passing yards and total offense in a game (522 yds) . Just shows how the game has changed.

Cross town rivals meet in the Mayor’s Cup game. Don’t see this being close. Wave win 35-14.
-
Hville scrimmaged them in the spring. They are good in all phases. QB threw the ball well, good receivers, stout defense.
-
Commandos beat a good football team tonight. Gallatin will win a lot of games this year. Baker was phenomenal. One of the coaches after the game said he had 360 yds passing. I thought our line did a really good job especially in pass protection. Got some work to do on defense. Good win to open the season!

It will be a close game either way. Game time temps will be upper 70’s. Love that.

The new Jumbotron looks nice as I passed by on Indian Lake.
350k, unlike Liberty Creek not a dime from the county.

For everyone coming to the Commando-Wave freshman game the visitor side will not be open. I am at practice and it was just announced.

MJ 24-17

Was at the Hville practice today. No one on the coaching staff has been told the visitor side has been condemned. They were told the structural report would not be released until next Monday. I guess we will find tomorrow out night when the freshmen play. As with most days I will be at practice tomorrow and will report any updates.

Agreed. Baker had 6 total TD’s tonight, 2 rushing and 4 passing in the first half. Next week might be first team to 50.
