What does the rain in the forecast do to MC and its offense? Will they still be able to lean on their QB?
i dont think it’ll affect them much. they are pretty good at running the ball

Now that I've had a few days to get over the shell shock, or the hangover, or both from last Friday's Pimp Slapping we took from Smith Co., I want to state the obvious and say that SC completely and totally earned their win. Not only deserved, but did what they had to do to ensure moving on to the next round. All three phases of their game were on point, and Fayetteville's were not. If I knew how to post the picture of the Marine with the Thousand Yard Stare, that would be the best description of the feelings most of us fans had in the first half. Halfway through the second quarter, I had an out-of-body experience where I teleported/time-traveled back to November 22, 2013. Basically the same end result from that night to this last Friday. @Southtowner, you were there.
We will regroup. We will put in the work. We will continue to improve. The coach and assistants will work on what we need to do to get better. It's not "back to the drawing board", it's "Here we come again".
i think that smith team had 19/22 starters that were seniors or close to it. fayetteville is losing a couple of good players but will only get better with how much talent is in the younger grades. i’ll take a 2nd round exit down year any day over a typical 2-8 down year that most teams would have

Not for over a decade. Does being a "dresden guy" mean I can't troll? I didn't read that. Wow. Crawling back under my bridge in Union City to read the rules on trolling thanks
i was just asking lol. i didn’t know what team you’re a fan of

Does Dawson have any offers for football? Genuinely curious.
i think he has one. playing qb is hurting him in the long run. he could easily be a d1 slot or db but lacks film at the positions

They have several more. There qb is really good. A couple good running backs. There defense has some real size and playmakers. The cupboard is not empty over there. Moore County will not have an easy game trust me. Most teams would kill to have a Qb like them. He is easily good enough to take over a game just like the White kid can.
yea i’m sure they have more playmakers that took their place but i doubt they’re as good as the last couple years. also are they younger or upperclassmen?

How many starters are still on McKenzie from last years championship team?
i don’t think there’s a lot. most of their playmakers graduated if not all

Might want to go back and read the 2020 threads. It's deja vu all over again.
yep. it was south pitt’s to lose all year and was suppose to be a 40 point blowout. i feel like their fans have backed off on saying that stuff since then and their coaches seem to have them better prepared for most games

I try to be a reasonable Raider fan if there is such a thing lol. Our regular season schedule was soft. We tackled Cascade, Fayetteville, Franklin Co, and Forrest out of region. I mean no disrespect to any of these schools but they all had down years compared to seasons past. Within the region, you just have to play the schedule that's dealt. While Eagleville and Cornersville were tough nuts to crack, they don't compare to teams like McKenzie, Dresden, nor Union City. I don't want to take away from Moore Co. They have talent and it's tough to go undefeated no matter what region you are in. The real competition starts now. Whether teams come in at this point battle tested or not, now is the time you either put up or shut up. Is Moore Co really that great? Is McKenzie really that much worse off than the past two years? Friday night will solve it and Lord willing we will all witness a fantastic matchup of amazing talent. Can't wait!
(McKenzie has had our number the last two times out so right now they are still the bully on the block.)
cornersville seemed to give mckenzie a good and eagleville knocked off the 2 seed from that region. i also think fayetteville is a solid win despite the down year. franklin county was also a big team with athletes and still couldn’t compete with mc

They have played a good Union City team, an above average McKenzie. A average 4A Obion Central. A average Middle College and a slightly below average Lake County. The rest not very good at all.
sounds comparable to moore county’s schedule

Is Moore Co the new MASE? Sounds like no one has played anyone as good as them before.
moore county is legit with a solid schedule. mase is a pretender with a cupcake schedule

We played both squads a week apart. No comparison that Smith is the better team. Better coaching, better offense, better defense. It's theirs to lose.
the worst thing smith can do is overlook fayetteville which i’m hoping for

He's talking about the freshman phenom from last year that transferred to Beech. But it's no problem. We have another freshman this year that is awesome.First half against Monterey he was 12 of 17 for 238 yards and 4 td's.We'll be alright.
that qb from last year is a pretty good baseball player right? or am i getting him confused

Smith has the size to control the line of scrimmage and stop the run but City's offense is made for defenses like this. Should be a good game if Willoughby plays like he did against NCS. If he plays like he did against Cascade then a long night for Tigers.
if we get the ncs game willoughby friday, smith county will be going home

upperman only scored 14. we turned the ball over on are own 30 yard line are they would’ve only scored 7 points. hard to move the ball 70 + yards on them owls. it will take a busted play on smith. side to move the ball over 60 yards very many times.
fayetteville’s defense played good against upperman. the offense just gave it right back to them
Rd 3 McKenzie travels to Moore Co
in Class 1A & Class 2A

heard dawson played through a significant knee injury. can anyone from mc confirm this?
