The clock is ticking and the season is right around the corner I've been away for awhile, but I'm back and ready for another Big Red Playoff run This game is really not a big game other than it is the first game. I do not think HC will face anyone as tough as their scrimmages (Milan and Maplewood)!! The Liberty game will be the first of many running clocks on the new scoreboard!!! IT IS FOOTBALL TIME IN TENNESSEE

Well come to a game in Paris sometime and you will see that we are pretty "darn good" and our fans are awesome! Where else can you come to a packed house and see Hank Jr. bring out the game ball from a helicopter? /thumb[1].gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":thumb:" border="0" alt="thumb[1].gif" /> Where ever it is you coach, then call up Coach Gaddis and I'm sure he'd be happy to schedule a game with your team. As far as top 10 in 5A I'm not for sure what teams are in there for sure but here is some that will be in the running. Henry County -- of course Melrose Hillsboro Hendersonville Gallatin I know nothing about east TN football so I won't even try to put a name on here.

Haven't been out to practice yet, but glad to hear we have good numbers and things are going well. Hope to read on hear about some of the standouts and I will make it out to a practice. How many days are left? Just curious. Red Warrior why did you use capital letters to tell Coach Younger TO LEAVE? Do you have a problem with him. I agree we will not miss a beat but anytime you change coaches then someone has to learn new stuff. Just curios. You make it sound like you are mad at him for leaving. I saw on Oak Ridge sight that he is now listed as a coach for them. Anyway GO BIG RED!!!

I love football and the talk that it gets even before spring practice starts! No I just speak the truth. And I have been right for the past few seasons way more then I have been wrong. I missed on Melrose (even though we won) and Maplewood (I thought we would win that one) and I missed on the 2nd Hillsboro game (I thought we would finally beat them and go to state) No, Red Warrior, I, unlike you, am Big Red all the way. You claim that you are a retired coach and you now follow us. I believe you are closer to the program then just a follower (but that is just my opinion) I played for the Big Red and now am a loyal fanatic fan! I believe we can and in most cases should win everygame next year. Let me tell you about the history of Henry County! We have beat up on district 10 for years. Dickson County was are only real threat and in some years they got us and vice versa!! When we started having 5 classes for football we moved into other regions and didn't get to play all of the same schools as in years past. The years I played we played MBA, Hillsboro, Hunters Lane, and some other metro schools. I also think Northeast and maybe Kenwood was in our district at that time. Now we are back and it will once again be HC and DC. Winner takes all and the loser will be second. Every once in awhile ONE of the Clarksville schools make a little run and sometimes can be a tough out. But as a whole we will dominate over there. After reading a post from "prophet" I believe this will be a really easy district this year. Those teams over there beat no one last year! I say this as positive that our coaches will make us better and we will have lots of games to get better and be 10-0 headed to the playoffs!!! ENOUGH SAID TO YOU on that!!

Well let me tell you that we also get tired of hearing how you have "hung up the whistle" also!! I am a Big Red Fan and I attend ALL home games and Almost all the away games! I love what Gaddis has done for this program! I DO NOT WANT HIM TO LEAVE!!! It just seems like his name comes up for EVERY job on this message board. I believe that either him or people around him like to hear his name being mentioned!! GET OFF MY BACK and go do something with your retired self and time!!! NO I wish he would leave and then all the Coach T'ers could start a thread that says we want the "old man by KY LAKE!!"

officials will not be needed for a game vs. Springfield except to set the ball for extra points and kick offs!!! You need "to get a real clue" This district will not even be close!! HC wins it hands down!

I think this district will be even easier for us to win then the last ones we were in! 1. Henry County 2. Dickson County 3. EVERYONE ELSE PLAYING FOR THIRD PLACE!! With Liberty and Humboldt being our two other games, I see another 10-0 season and probably several running clocks. Why does this happen every year? Every off season it seems like we are on here wondering if Gaddis is leaving or if someone is trying to get him to come here. I understand the fact that he is a great coach and that when we win that others will want to have him. But, I wonder if he likes having his name mentioned with every job that comes open???? It just seems like he would tell them "no I have a GREAT Job" and go on with it. I believe he likes making all of us think he is going to leave. Maybe for more money? I don't know, but it just seems like this comes up too often. I agree with you on that! I am so proud of our coaches and our players! They are the reason that THE BIG RED has turned this thing around! and Hillsboro proves it every year in the playofs too and they play out of region games that get their fans excited. I am through talking about this because I am all for the BIG RED and I don't want to come across as a negative fan. I JUST WISH WE WERE PLAYING SOME BIG OUT OF REGION GAMES TO PROVE IT ALSO! I guess I am just selfish and want to watch some big games before the playoffs!!

I guess we will just agree to disagree! I for one might believe that that surge that you speak of in the playoffs may have come from some great coaching and kids who had been battle tested and had seen everything that they could have seen and then things started to click. All I am saying is that with a easy region we should schedule a little tougher out of region. NO REASON to play Humbolt!! I just was hoping with as far as we had come that we might see a team besides someone from Clarksville at Patriot Stadium. How excited do you think our town would be if we were 4-0 and getting ready to play Germantown or Hillsboro or a Brentwood Academy in that 5th game?? Even if we played good and lost all of the surroundings of the game would be a victory for our team and were we are now as a program. If we say we are one of the best in the West (and I think we are) then we should go out and prove it in non region games!

I agree that those teams needed to know how to win, but now that we are in regions or districts that we will dominate then we should play at least one tough game out of that district. You used Alcoa and Maryville as examples, well at least they played each other as the one out of region. Playing Humbolt and Liberty does one thing, get two victories! that is it!! I will be there and I will cheer until halftime and when the running clock starts I will go home. I remember when we were in this district before and we always beat the Clarksville schools. As I have stated before, you can probably count on your hands the number of losses to Clarksville schools. The history of Henry County is playing those schools and I am glad to be in that district. Back when Counce was the coach we played those guys and dominated!! Oh and I believe he always played JCM out of district, so that is another example of playing one out of district tough game. You said Ridgeway told us nothing, well then what did Trezevant tell us? Playing Humbolt is the one that I do not agree with. We are now one of the best programs in the West. There is NO REASON for us to be playing 2A teams that do not even make the playoffs.

we have to take some for granted. we have DOMINATED the Clarksville schools for years. There is probably a very short list of losses to those schools. So we should write those down as wins and schedule at least one out of region game against BIG comp!!! I am glad of the less travel. I hated going toward Jackson and Memphis every week, but now we could schedule one HARD game to get us more comp. Those running clocks in Clarksville will get old!! Humbolt and probably Liberty will tell us nothing about how we will do against Melrose and Hillsboro come playoffs!!

I hate to hear that! I think in our district now of all the clarksville schools and dickson we will dominate and win big again. I was hoping Gaddis would go out and play some challenges for non district. We have killed Liberty and Humbolt was 4-6 2A team. I was really hoping to maybe see something like Germantown or some of the tougher schools around Nashville. I know it is long trip, but I think Hillsboro proved it this year when your region is weak play tough non region games to get you ready. I know this will make someone mad and they will yell at me, but I don't see where playing Humbolt helps us out. I still think we will be team to beat in West, but I just hate not getting pushed at all until playoffs. I'm already READY for spring practice. Oh man it is finally here!!! What a year so far. Man we have been riding the three-headed monster all year long and this game will be no different. I can't wait for Friday. Love to go to Nashville. A Kreasy is at Trousdale AA Morris at Milan AAA Counces at Dyersburg AAAA of course the BIG RED AAAAA one of the Krieskeys is at Oakland(we think) and Webb at Franklin Pretty cool!
