Upset? Lol not hardly, I just want someone to grow a set a tell why he really came to Powell. Was it a deal struck with UT that ended up going south? Or something else? Because the reasons I gave in my previous comment like I said, No way. And I GUARANTEE it wasn’t a “parental choice of education.”:roflol:

Two years later and you are still stuck on "why he really came to Powell."  You seriously need to get a life.

After Powell beats you this year without Nolan, are you going to be fixated on that as well?

  2. I agree that Nolan was a big asset to Powell, and I am sure he played a major role with them going to state and winning.  However, you can say that about a number of teams.  Would they have won state without X, Y, or Z?

Regardless, it is 2023.  You are talking about a game almost two years ago.  Do you seriously have nothing better to do with your time than "troll" Coach T trying to stir up controversy?

  3. Too many good things going on at Powell right now for him to leave. I really have a hard time believing that he would leave. Money does talk, but he already turned down another big offer during the offseason to stay. I don’t see him leaving after turning that job down.

Hearing the same.  Big names in on this one.

Where are you hearing that Lowe at Powell even is interviewing?  I don't believe that for a second.

They'll be lucky to get to 6-4 IMO. They lost a lot.  They have a few pieces coming back but no where close to being a title contender. The heir apparent at QB is playing at Oak Ridge along with a reciever that was supposed to be at AC. My guess is they will go with Miller at QB. He's serviceable.

They'll have a couple good linemen but lose junior Clayton who is now at Powell from my understanding. He's got a D1 frame (and athleticism) to play TE but AC used him at tackle.

    Expect a big letdown.

I had heard that Clayton transferred to Powell.  Why would kids be leaving after just winning the gold ball?

No comment but I may have carried the tall former NFL player out of the gym over my shoulder when he played for me in high school. LOL

Looks like daddy got his way in the end. He wanted ALL his kids in public school instead of private to begin with.
Wonder how many Catholic kids will follow? Daddy has a lot of influence being that half the team train at his gym. Son is “recruiting” them hot and heavy to follow him to Bearden.

  7. Do not know anything about Dowell's character, but I have witnessed some questionable behavior from Bishop.  One game comes to mind when he "pretended" to be hurt only to do some pushups and flex once everyone was looking at him.  Too bad his "big head" could not propel his team further in the playoffs.

Why would anybody go to Catholic, they can't compete in the private.  lol.  Lowe doesn't enjoy getting his butt kicked every Friday night and driving to Chatt and beyond to do so. Or maybe he does?  We shall see

    Money talks...

They hire a new coach.  And I can say, See I told you so!

My guess is that they will be good year in year out, but not great.  I see the next couple years  like this:  5A football in this area is bad.  There are three teams year in and year out that stand above the rest and two of those will play in the semis with a chance to go to state.  Those three are West, Powell, and OR.  Should be the same next year.  Two of those teams will play each other twice.  Once regular and once playoffs, the winner of the semi plays for state.  It's hard for me to see that going any other direction.  Central could be in that mix soon with those huge freshmen classes coming in, then again they might be 6A by the time those freshmen are jrs. and srs.

You really think that Powell team will be the same without Lowe calling the shots?  I just don't see it.  He is the puppet master of that program.  Without him, I see that program in trouble...especially if he goes to a private school and takes his staff with him.

Hope he sticks around at Powell as to go to a pasture with landmines all over it. There is such a pasture like this on Lonas in Knoxville. That pasture has someone with a finger up your behind preforming a weekly rectal examination for their country club members that absolutely will not listen to why their not on fair playing ground with the LA's of the private schools.

I am sure that private school money can be enticing.  Hard to see the landmines when your head is being pumped with bs about money and open recruiting.
