  1. very impressed with Lincoln County and Coffee County yesterday.  Lincoln was playing without a starter and still looked very deep as a team and can shoot the ball and defend at a high level.  Coffee County is going to win a lot of games this season with different girls being the leading scorer, they can beat you so many ways.

Blackman and Tullahoma were very unimpressive.  I do know it is early and some girls might be out injured but Tullahoma has problems finishing and they have no understanding of clock and situation.  Blackman just looks very young and not the same as the past few years.

Coffee very young.  No Seniors on the team.  Will get better as the season progresses.  Tough front end of schedule much easier after Christmas.  Also now paired with the Williamson County Region rather than Cleveland/Bradley area.   Next few years should make some postseason noise.

Coffee has a pretty good schedule with some easy wins like Shelbyville and Tullahoma mixed in with Blackman and Bradley games.  They should be an entertaining team for the next couple of years if the coach can stay out is the way of the talent.  I like Lincoln County and what they have done the last few years and have a very good coach.

Coffee co is very good and white co looked like the real deal last night!

Is White County still in the same district or did the move up to AAAA?  The Upper Cumberland area never disappoints when it comes to girls basketball.  Will Coffee County be able to make the leap out of region play and is Lincoln County still loaded?  Tullahoma was not impressive at Oakland but the Lady Patriots were very very bad.

  4. Hoping to see some good action return to the middle tennessee area in girls hoops.  Caught up to some Murfreesboro action last night, what has happened to Oakland?  Was not just a few years ago they had won a district title and last night they did not look like they would finish in the top half of their district this season.
Did anyone else impress last night in the middle tennessee area?  Heard Coffee County looked very good and Shelbyville seems to be improved from the previous years.

  5. does not look like tullahoma is in the running in AAA.  Heard a bad riverdale team beat them in a scrimmage today. Central Magnet has to be the favorites in a weak district with Lawrence County being the runner-up and all the upper cumberland teams should be favorites in the region tournament. I like Livingston Academy and the way they play.
has anyone seen Cumberland County this year?

Tullahoma is winning with 7 minutes left. In a terrible football game

Brother if you are that miserable just come down to Lynchburg and save everyone the agony of reading your miserable posts.  You and Pearcy are depressing individuals if I’ve ever seen it!

#6 the Tullahoma coaches not shaking Nathan Delaughter's hand after losing the Region Championship game against Shelbyville.

I followed this thread closely and it amazes me that nobody has mentioned why DeLaughter brought one child to Shelbyville and one to us here at Moore County?  It is obvious, the older DeLaughter child couldn’t start at Moore County either.  Good for him for going somewhere to hand the ball off this season and watch his running backs and linemen carry the team.  I still believe Moore County could easily win this 5A region.  All four will  probably be one and done in the playoffs.  Go Raiders!

They certainly tried to play down to them in the middle of the game. Tullahoma seems to go into a lull in the middle part of games sometimes. Tonight they did what they were supposed to, beat a bad team. Their fitness seems to show in the second half also.

I am confused somewhat with the Tullahoma posts.  Other posts, not yours, but other posters claim Tullahoma is not very good and out of shape.  But I keep seeing that they are winning and outside of one hiccup versus Franklin County they seem to play a decent brand of football. I personally am a MC raider fan and follow them, don’t see how Tullahoma lost against a horrible FC team, but I have watched 60 years of HS football and know it is best to lose early in the year rather than later in the season. Tullahoma seems to be getting better as the season goes, is that not what a fan would want?  And they do seem to be in good shape unless you read other posts, who we all seem to know is from a relative of a former player and we are so fortunate to have that family here in Lynchburg and coming up in our program (sarcasm).

    enjoy the wins wildcat faithful

It is painfully obvious that these kids weren’t conditioned this summer.

Moore County Fan here and didn’t see the game and haven’t been to a Tullahoma game since Chattanooga two years ago where they won a championship.  But you can definitely tell there are a lot of arm chair coaches here, Tullahoma loses to a larger Murfreesboro team by 14 and they aren’t conditioned, don’t have a QB, and are poorly coached.  Are you listening to yourselves?  From the article it sounds like three big plays hurt the Wildcats and outside of that the defense held SC in check most of the night. Sounds like all you elite experts should just volunteer and do it because the current coaches have no business coaching losing by such a huge margin to a 6A school.  Get a life Tullahoma

  10. Worse coached Tullahoma team I have seen at MTSU in ten years.  Talent they have is not what it has been but the coaching is just not what you would expect.  Such a drop from a good thing they had going, I am looking forward to playing them this year.

Yea I agree KK is a game changer! Them & Livingston will be the 2 top favorites

Livingston will be very good this season if they remain healthy.  Was at Lebanon today and when did Maryville become so bad?  Just a few years ago they were a very strong program and i witnessed them getting beat by a very average coached team in Tullahoma.  I was shocked at the fall of Maryville and the lack of talent, but they still made it a competitive game.
The AAA will run through Livingston this season

Moore co will be pretty tough this season. Huntingdon had several that didn’t play in this one. The other girls have to step up though.

Yes, it’s June but we should be a tough lil team to reckon with.

He recruited internationally each year, not just the last two. Webb bought and paid for three state titles. You just don't go from literally the bottom of the outhouse to state champion without the title being bought. Hopefully the TSSAA enacts some provision to nail down their feet.

Exactly, they paid for state titles.

Bianca Hensley to Cleveland. West Tennessee Product. State Champion at Chester County. Played 4 years at Ole Miss and played professionally. She has won everywhere she has been including at Lexington High School in West Tennessee and that is saying a lot. She will do a great job. May get some of those Cleveland Middle School kids one of the posters were talking about to stay at Cleveland.

Williams leaving will be a mistake.  Who takes over at Stewart’s Creek?  Word out is Chad Hibdon is the front runner to be next coach for the Hawks.

Looking at your previous comments on other threads all u do is talk about how coaches or programs suck. Trying to justify how a coach isnt good and discredit from a few loses. What team do u support besides jumping on every thread about girls basketball? I bet they’d finish behind Bradley too in our region

Moore County and yes my single a school would get demolished by the much larger Bradley.

U sound dumb. She’s a great hire. Former all SEC player, ex wnba. Has only coached 4 years and has a 93-30 record back to back district titles and 29 wins this past season. And she has actually beat Bradley before, so I’d say it’s a great hire.

Yes I’m sorry. Former College and Pro players make great coaches.  First year was beat by Tullahoma in the region.  Second year Rockvale beat them in district quarterfinals. Third year Blackman beats them in the region semifinals.  Last year they change districts and it’s a cake walk and the region is easier yet they still need help from officials in a one point win versus Oakland in the region championship just to go get beat by 30 by the “team they actually beat in Bradley” but it’s a grand slam.  Enjoy the hire and finishing second
