  1. Ah yes the old bandwagon fallacy, because Fulton’s doing it, we should too! That makes a ton of sense.
  2. Any word on local players hitting the portal trying to get over to Kingston Pike?
  3. Are you familiar with the terms “policy” and “procedure”?
  4. https://www.knoxschools.org/cms/lib/TN01917079/Centricity/domain/974/procedures/KCS Administrative Procedure Manual 11.13.2023.pdf page 126, line 26-28
  5. That is a great question. The procedure manual outlined by the BOE makes it very clear that non-faculty hires can only be made when no full time employee with a teaching license is available. Not sure how they got around that one to hire JJ. But don’t see Central doing that here to replace NC.
  6. Unfortunately this is the case. And apparently a recruiting base that extends to Gallatin.
  7. According to KCS policy, they would only be able to hire a non-faculty candidate if no full-time employee with a teaching license who meets the qualifications were available.
  8. This is tough to follow. Who did Jones fire?
  9. I could also see former OC Simbeck getting the job.
  10. I count three out of zone players on the current roster. I do think Basketball still plays with five. So on the court at one time it could be 60% out of zone, that seems a little high. Not my intention to troll but rather to have open forum.
  11. I’ve seen some future stars out there on the court. But again, I’m just highlighting the lack of effort, attitude and toughness that has lacked since handlebar went to Alabama.
  12. KCS HR does officially extend an offer to a candidate based on the recommendation of the principal and completion of a clean background check. The trouble becomes when HR assumes that school administrators have a working knowledge of board policy (in this case they did not) and HR dropped the ball.
  13. It just seems like the consistency of the Bearden Basketball product has devolved since Blevins. I’m talking about attitude, effort, toughness. I don’t think you see much of that like you did in the 2000s and 2010s. Yes, there has been some consistent success but that has more clearly to do with the talent influx as a result of recruiting.
  14. committee members- Girls BBall Coach Soccer Coach Principal Former BC Prez who manages Mooyah Former AD However, rumor is that all were not present for JJ “interview”
  15. I guess we’ll see this year but it looks like the well has run dry since losing all of Blevins recruits is all I’m saying.
  16. With the recruits of Mark Blevins. Parrott is a perennial .500 coach. Go look at his record while at Cherokee. Cmon guys.
  17. Justin Underwood, Jeremy Parrott, Ryan Radcliffe and Donald Balcom hired Jones. Justin, Jeremy and Ryan have made their living off of recruiting and Donald fan boy’d it into existence for football. Even though his hire violated KCS school board procedure.
  18. Just seem like they have really fallen off since Blevins has left.
  19. My understanding is that girls basketball coach, soccer coach, former ad who never coached before, the principal and the booster club hired JJ.
  20. Do they look like a typical Bearden team with some speedsters and length?
  21. Did the basketball coach even have enough pull and influence to dictate the hire?
  22. What happened? In recent memory they always enter the tourney.
