Yesterday Liberty played Covington on their senior night and Cov. won 4-2. Score was tied 2-2 in the 4th. Covington went ahead on a balk and a pass ball to get 4 runs. I don't think neither team pitched their ace. Great game for two teams that have never scored less than 2 runs all season.

Does Covington have any dominating pitching or something or do they just hit better than everyone.

Monday Liberty traveled to Bolivar to play for a district game. Liberty started freshman Gavin Lindsey who threw a great game. Bolivar had bases loaded 0 outs and didnt score early in the game. Game was tied 4-4 until the bottom of the 7th when Bolivar scored the winning run. Today Liberty scored 1st and Bolivar had another bases loaded 0 out situation and failed to score again. Bolivar went ahead 6-2 in a long error feeled inning and a 2 run homerun. Liberty brought in Cody Chandler to hold Bolivar to 6. Liberty had a 2 run homerun in the 6th, and rallied back to win the game in the bottom of the 7th inning 7-6.

Well they hadn't beat Norhtside until that victory, Liberty had lost by the run rule. And when Liberty blew a 10 run lead last year and got run ruled in the district tornament in seperate games by Humbolt you kinda want to beat em.

Liberty was the visitors in that game and it was 13-1 at the end of the 3rd inning then they put in their JV and they continued to hit the ball and score. They were holding runners at third when the ball was still at the wall. So they werent just tryin to put it on them that bad. I bet Liberty held 8 runs from scoring. But which is worse;knowing that the other team has to stop the scoring on you because they feel bad or letting the score run up as far as possible.

Friday night Liberty played Jackson Northside and won 16-3. Saturday they had a double header against district team Humbolt. Liberty wins both 19-9 and 24-1. How often do teams score that much in 3 games.

Was told that semifinal games will start tomm. and if those games get rained out then the #2 team in each pool is eliminated. Then the #1's will play on Fri. It stinks but i think thats how it will go. Hope it clears up.
