yeah...our senior center back was out with an ankle sprain then our senior midfielder (who had the own goal) went down half way through the 2nd half with prolly an ACL injury he has been trying to get all season. Lexington was the right winner though. They came to play and we did not. Our Freshman goalie made all-district and has had a great season.
I am a parent/fan. My youngest son played wolves with Tomlin and Mel and a couple others. I haven't seen Madison play this year...just familiar with the players. I probably just want it for Crockett because they have never been before.
Never said it was your fault. I just believe those power lines should eliminate that field as acceptable for play-offs....that and the sand pits in front of both goals. The presence of those power lines is just completely unacceptable. Those lines have too much influence on keeper punts and goal kicks. There is no Football coach that would allow that field to be used and Soccer in West TN should not have to accept sub-par fields either if we expect to compete with the rest of the State.
Crockett over D-burg 3-1. Crockett has an excellent team this year. However, I am beyond mad about the power lines over this "soccer field" and how the refs handled the ball hitting these lines differently per games. I hope we never have to play on it again.
okay, I have to come back and say I was wrong. The D-burg coach says that YES! TCA does in fact have the best field in West Tn and that D-burg is probably (from a players perspective) in fact, the THIRD best field after Trenton/Peabody. D-burg Coach says TCA's field is on the level of collegiate fields!!! My Bad! I was only seeing it from a Fan's perspective!
I heard that the OC fans were warned not to talk to or try to engage the other teams players. The Ref told them that they were welcome to talk to and cheer on their own players but to not talk to the other teams' players.
This should not be a problem tonight as no one will be sitting in chairs or movable stands right on the throw in line.
Plus is wasn't too long ago that TCA played on their football field or at that field on Airline Road. Every school (even those in Jackson) have to support soccer and get their teams off football fields. Or get lights, bathrooms (NOT portopotties), concession stands, etc......
me too. OC has a good team and the whole school is backing them (their fan support is just GREAT!! and just heart warming) and I really think it is just wonderful for this school and this area of the WEST to experience this excitement for soccer. TCA's team is still young and the next couple of years can be their time to go to State.
Aw now! them's fighting words!! LOL! Ya'll have a decent field but D-burg has the best field in West TN. And Obion's field is not that bad (compared to Milan), At least Obion has comfortable stands, lights the right height, bathrooms, parking, etc.
I don't think I can post a score but I believe that Kingsbury will probaby win based on experience and a tougher regular season schedule. Nothing against TCA but I don't think they have played many tough teams. (did they play USJ and if they did what was the score?) I plan on going to the game and all the best to TCA-hope they win!
