  1. Both teams lost some of their "most talented" players last year. So I still see Farragut winning it this year. Farragut looked like they should have won 3-0 last year, so im going to say 2-0 Farragut this year.
  2. Actually I went to this game and from what I saw Farragut had control most of the time. There was really no great opportunities by either team. It's like Farragut possessed the whole time but never did anything when getting towards the goal. They are a great team, they just need to work on their offensive attack. It's not their lack of skill, it may be their lack of knowledge perhaps. I don't know, I just figured that may be the case since they lost most of their offense last year, and the forwards now aren't used to being their "go-to guys." Maryville however is a much more improved team, they impressed me lastnight. I was expecting a 3-0 win by Farragut, but Maryville did a great job of giving Farragut very, very few chances of scoring, yet so did Farragut. To sum up, Farragut won by possession, the score, and by a evenly judged match. If Farragut's offense learns to step up and do what they are supposed to be doing then they will have no problem with Maryville in the playoffs.
  3. is this a prediction or the result?
  4. When does Bearden and Farragut play each other (if they make it that far), and if so then who would they have to get through to play each other in both district and region? and Charlie, I'm pretty sure Doyle could stilll destroy you.
  5. Hoya, not to start an argument, but I heard again that he (Doyle) is playing soccer or is going to, or something along that line.
  6. What about the others? Aren't there two or three others from the Knoxville area that are playing there? I know Jared Britcher (from Farragut) is doing well at Memphis, as well as Adam Montgomery (MoTown West). A month or two ago they played an MLS team and Jared got a goal, thats a big accomplishment.
  7. About 4 years ago their was this huge rival game between Farragut and Franklin (back when they were pretty good) and some Farragut player scored this crazy goal from the corner of the box and it hit side netting. Well someone didn't put the netting in very well and the ball swept right through it. Well I remember the kid ran around with his hands up, celebrating while the ref was calling a goal kick. It was so funny cause the kid was just running around the feild while Franklin was getting set up for a goal kick. They had to stop the game for several minutes cause so many Farragut parents and players were flipping out while Franklin's parents and players just kept quite with a grin on their face. The best part was at half time when Jameson Riner grabbed the game ball and ran over to the goal and started throwing it through the net and then grabbing it and extending it out so that everyone could see it. Both teams were cracking up. But it was a big deal cause it was a tournament game and it was 1-1 at the time, and thats how it finished. Afterwards, the ref apologized for the call, which made things worse. But that's how games go, you don't get the calls that you always want... refs should hardly ever be blamed for a game, and I thought Farragut did a great job of not whining about it afterwards.
