rp44 I just want to ask a little question. Have you EVER in your high school career beat Lewisburg? I don't think so. Lykins' ACT score is in fact good enough to play college ball and at a high level. Abilities do take you far when it comes to college. But back to my original question, when was the last time that Giles Co. beat Lewisburg? Not in the last 4 years and I think you all haven't beat the mighty Tigers since....well I think your coach will know. It was probably back in his day. You can probably find it in a history book somewhere. You aren't a stud on the field and I doubt that you can hold your own off of it. I know that Giles Co. has some pride in their baseball program but it is only pride in second place. So until you can take pride in going to the sub-state 4+ years then you can down Lewisburg. You say you are a catcher. Well so was I. Last year. So if you want to talk come find me.

cd27 don't dedicate this year to me. Dedicate it to yourselves and the team. This is the last chance for some of you and you don't want to come up short. Work hard and remind everyone to practice like you play.

rp44 I am gonna call you out. I know you won't mind since you think you are tight stuff. If Marshall Co. is beatable then why is they are the ones that are representing the region in the sub-state game? They may be beatable, but not by the teams in their district. Page is going to be the team that is going to have a chance this year at the Tigers. Can you say that you have ended a 56 game winning steak to get to the state tournament? I really don't think so. When was the last time you were in the sub-state or was that in little league? Oh wait, Marshall Co. beat you then too. Good luck getting through the district and don't get too cought up in yourself. That is what is going to beat you when the season comes.

cd27 you just keep up the good work and show these people what MC baseball is all about. The hard work always pays off and the other teams can't say that for themselves. Lewis Co. may have a new coach but it is going to take a while to get his "team" in a groove. Just show them all what "REAL baseball" is about. Stix

Apparently you don't know Joe George all to well. He must be doing something right when he is 9 wins from setting the all-time win record in TN. Can you say you have a coach that has that much to brag about. Wait a minute, Coach George doesn't even acknowledge the fact that he is that close, he doesn't beleive in bragging. He takes everything in stride and coaches the game the way it is supposed to be played. He enjoys winning more than anything but he also takes the losses in a possitive manner and makes his teams better. Can some of you say that?

If ya'll want to talk about baseball talk about next year. Don't live in the past. Fairview shut up. You can't say anything. It's bad enough that your own catcher tells the coach to pull a pitcher but you are trying to talk smack when you haven't got past the region ever. Giles Co. will have a good squad but they will choke as they have in the past. The only thing the Jackets can say is we need to do this and we need to do that. Come on have some confidence we're gonna get whipped, we're gonna get whipped. Jacketpride, keep tryin'. Yeah, Marshall Co. pitched our no. 3 pitcher but the bad news for Firview is that he shut ya'll out. Like I said, Keep tryin'!!!!

You have stated the you think Jeffery Lykins of Marshall County is one of the best. In my opinion I think that Scott McLean is the best first baseman in the mid-state and maybe the state. He is not afraid to get in front of the ball and he has a great bat. He has the potential to play for a very good team in his years after high school.

Well if you think that Fairview played Marshall Co. close I'd like to see the game that you were watching. When they played up there the Tigers put the Jackets down by ten. When the Jackets came to Marshall Co. there is not much to say but offense. The Tigers went up by five in the first and the Tigers won that one again by ten. If the Jackets can hit Lykins and stop McLean, Henry, and B. Davis they may have a chance. It is going to be a good game if the Jackets cand do all this, but that is a lot to do for a team from Podunck. By the way, all of the aces aren't back. What about Holt(Giles Co.). You need to get a little more into the game if you are going to run this site.

Say you don't believe 90 on Lykins? Try catching him and then tell me that you don't believe it. After 7 innings of fastball after fastball you will have to ice your hand when you get home. If you still don't believe me ask Derick Holt. He can tell you. He never saw Lykins' fastball.

It doesn't matter who is coming back for Fairview, Giles Co., Lewis Co., and the others Marshall Co. although losing almost all of the starters from last year, will still be the powerhouse in 9aa. Lykins, McLean, Henry, and B. Davis will lead the Tigers to a district title and will make another run at state. Lykins will be MVP again with the other seniors gaining all-district honors. The Tigers will hold the competition all year and will undoubtedly win the district.

I don't think that many of you have thought about the Tigers from Marshall Co. Have any of you been hit by Blake Andrews or TJ Chilton. They are the hardest nose players that I have seen. The d-line is also the best that I've seen in several years. The Tigers are the team to watch in 3-A. Good luck Tigers. See ya'll Friday.

Nobody in Marshall Co.'s region can touch Lykins. He is a great pitcher and knows the game very well. His bat is the thing to be worried about. Watch out!!! He is the man to beat. Kick some tail JP.
