They can play better than what they have been because I have seen them play to how they are capable of playing. Woodrick is a good player but if he has an off night or is being focused in on, I think Schleif will have to step it up and play like the Defending Region MVP he is.

Starting the season out with twenty straight wins would be a great accomplisment for this ball club. They came back from Christmas break and got two wins, but they didn't play up to their potential. They need to come out tonight against Heritage and be focused. It is a home game and it should be fun to play if they play their game.

The majority of the district games are now beginning. The results for the early season are: Pigeon Forge (18-0, 2-0) Claiborne (6-7, 2-0) Union County (9-4, 1-1) G-P (6-7, 1-1) Rutledge (7-9, 0-2) Cumberland Gap (4-8, 0-2) Is this the order that we will see at the end of the regular season? Also, out of the two undefeated teams in the district, who has the best chance of running the tables and staying undefeated? Pigeon Forge hosts Sevier County on Friday night. Pigeon Forge is looking good this year sitting at a 17-0 record. Any predictions on what this game will be like...?

I agree with you. Coach Wright is doing such a good job as head coach at Pigeon Forge and especially this year. That is kind of funny what he has done but he knows what he is doing.

First of all, McMinn Central and Alcoa both participated in the state tournament last year, so please get your facts straight. Also, please don't worry about the past because that is over and don't worry about the future, we will see what happens when it gets here. One more thing, if PF happens to go far this year, I don't think they will have to worry about matching up with Wayne Chism. So, use someone like maybe Terrence Oglesby, someone current. So, PF may enjoy this season, but have straight realistic facts cneagle.

I agree. That game was pretty much over after warm ups. PF dominated that game from start to finish. Woodrick probably played one of the worst performances of the season and was in foul trouble the second half, but still had close to a triple double and got anything at will. pffan I would add this game to your list and make that 9 in a row for PF, also add the comment "blow out" to this one as well. Look for more to come. PF has to get ready for a tough test this coming week at Alcoa. Should be a good one.

First of all, I would just like to comment on pffan. I thought you might actually be a supportive PF fan, but from reading some of the comments you have posted on here, it doesn't seem to be the truth. Usually, a fan for a certain team supports that team. I remember reading a post a while back and you didnt even have PF at the top of your list for the district. Must not be that big of a fan. PF has beat GP 8 straight times and I will agree they have not all been blowouts, but a win is a win and that is all that matters. But that is in the past, and there is a more important game that PF is worried about and that is tonight. That is all I will say though, either support who you say you do or don't be a fan of them, it's that simple. Anyway, about tonight's game. I also heard that GP's coach has been waiting on this game only since he got there because he wants to beat PF. From what I have heard from several different sources, he has been running his mouth quite a bit. To me that makes no sense, because he has only played against PF once and that was in the summer where his team got embarrassed by 20+ points. PF is ready for this one and they will be fired up. I believe you can add another "blow out" to that list.

First of all, you need to get your facts straight before you assume anything. Plus, they are the defending district and region champs, do you not think they already have a target on their back? So be careful of what you say and know what you are talking about.

Pigeon Forge girls are having a down year this year compared to years past, but I believe they have the capability of doing some good things if they get together and not get down to early in the season. Anyone have any input on this team....?

I believe they are close to unbeatable if they play a complete game with the intensity they are able to bring. I saw the game last night and they played exceptionally well with a few slip ups. The system they play with the players they have works great. They should have slipped more screens against Seymour last night to get easier buckets but they still played a good ball game. They need to play their best game next Tuesday against Alcoa to go into Christmas break on a positive note.

Pigeon Forge beat county rival Seymour last night for the second time last night to take the season sweep on that series. Any information on the game or info about Pigeon Forge? I heard they were 8-0. How good are they?

Claiborne County played Union County Friday night and only won by 2 pts. What is the deal with that because I thought Claiborne was supposed to be good. I am not putting down Union but that is a close game. Any info on that game please? Also G-P beat Rutledge by 15 or something. I have seen G-P play and they are very weak and they beat a Rutledge team who everyone is speculating to be a contender in the district. If they can't beat G-P, the only thing that they will be contending for is last place. Any information on that game as well?

I would say a couple more. I think that if they get past Seymour next week, they will be in good shape. The real thing that matters is Friday nights first district game at Cumberland Gap. They need to be focused on that game to start the district in the drivers seat and pick up from where they left off last year. I think people should start giving them credit though because they are a good ball TEAM.

ofI agree with handyman. He is the star of that team this year and is having an incredible season so far this year. Those stats are for real and most of those rebounds and assists were in the 4th quarter. His numbers on the year are 16 ppg, 14.7 rpg, and 14 apg. He is an amazing player to watch so you better believe those stats because handyman knows what he is talking about.
