  1. Two of Hendersonville's goals were touched by our keeper and then bounced in, and by touched I mean half smacked; the ball just didn't graze his fingertips. They had one good shot (their first or second goal, I believe) that bent to the left of our keeper but was actually within reach, and the other goal was a defensive mistake that left room for a volley into the top of the net that. Our keepr should have come out, but it was still a saveable shot anyway. There were really only two true flukes in that game, the other two were mistakes on our part, which gives Hendersonville credit for captitalizing on them.
  2. Not trying to be smart, soccerdude, but you know that sometimes teams just don't perform as well as they should. That's what happened with us. Now, there's no excuse for us not living up to our potential, but I think what my friend is saying is that we work hard, and play with heart. Sometimes it just doesn't come out like you want it to, though. That's what happened. It will be a different game in regions if we meet them there.
  3. I think that Hendersonville is beatable and that we have the will to do it, but the reality is that they are a very strong team (no one is ranked without reason) and that we will have to capitalize on what few mistakes they make in order to give them a run for their money. We will have to take every chance we get, because there may not be too many. Good luck to both teams.
  4. The stats don't even begin to describe that game...our former Coach was bawling his eyes out at the end of it. It was the most dramatic and insane thing I have ever had the privelage to be a part of. 110 minutes is a long time to keep going, not to mention the pressure of penalty kicks. Great Respect to LaVergne..both teams played with heart and neither gave up.
  5. Okay, let's just simply forget the fact that Mount Juliet is 9-1 for a second. Let's forget that they're also undefeated in their district. Let's also forget the fact that they've had less than five goals scored on them all season. sccrplr5, I don't like people like you, because your opinion overrides the simple facts: Mount Juliet is a good team. I'm not saying they can' be beaten, because any team can lose on any given day. And I have great respect for all of the programs in Clarksville; they have earned it well. But don't talk about Bubba until you're the one containing him, and please don't talk about their defense until you've beaten them. As for a weak stopper, I don't know of anyone filling that nonexistent position. Mount Juliet may lose, and Mount Juliet may win, and may the best team do so, but keep your mouth shut until you've left it on the field. And let's not get started about our preseason and our former Coach, okay?
