I also watched the East vs Cloudland game, East and Cross started out with a quick 7-0 lead mainly because of a tired Cloudland defense. Take away all the offense rebounds and put backs from East, Cloudland wins by twenty. (with fresh legs and boxing out) Lets just say if East doesnt get Cross back they are in trouble, the others on that team can barely hit the backboard. Cloudland was tired and played a bad game and still found a way to win, thats what good teams DO! Should be a great year for basketball in east tennessee, esp with Cloudland and hampton beating up on the Sullivan schools and Tennessee High. And great games between Cloudland/ Hampton ....and on the HEELS, just give them time- they are young and it will all come together

That would not surprise me at all! He would do great at Hampton... both schools will be in good hands if it works out that way. Good luck to both in whatever they choose to do!!!

Ive heard some good things about the Highlanders! Can someone please post their upcoming games, ive wanted to make it to one but i just dont know when they play. Thanks for the help.. people that dont have anything worth saying on here shouldnt even waste their time or our time by just posting stupid questions and posts. Was Cloudland the better team out of the district and region? of course, they won 6 straight games in those tournys, if the other teams where the better they could have atleast win one of the tournys wouldnt u think????? also i think its just stupid on ur parts to look at the record and jump to the fact that we could have been better represented down in the boro.............cloudland split with both Unaka and UH in the season and the one loss to Unaka was in 7 OT's and then beat them twice in the tournys......so theres 2 out that Cloudland deserved to be playing ahead, as for Hampton, they barely got away with a win AT cloudland then beat us there, but we came back and also beat them twice in tournys.....thats no upset to me, thats the better team winning, one time would be a upset, twice is just making an example! its not our Fault that overrated Wartburg came up to Cloudland and got smacked!!! all u can do is make excuses and this and that, but once again the better team one so get over it. the only thing u had to back u up is that u almost beat the number 1 team cosby.........and we see how they did, not much better with the 20 pt loss at the BORO? let me also mention that UNAKA, yeah the team cloudland beat 3 out of 4 teams and went into 7 overtimes in the only loss to gave COSBY all they couldnt handle in a 5 pt loss to them this season! maybe Cosby didnt deserve it huh??? As far as West TN teams being better than East, they didnt really show me much of anything? sometimes the west is up and sometimes the east is up. it goes more in cycles really! Cloudland was just very young and the first time to the boro' kinda got to them. it will only help them the next time they make the trip though, so i have nothing bad to say about tonights came! Theres plenty of players and teams that would have loved to make the trip down to the BORO'!!!!!!!!!!! i can tell by all the jealous post and everything, i mean come on, show a little more class than that people! The 8 teams down there were the 8 teams that earned the right and played their butts off to be down there! so lets stop with all the crying!!!!! yeah Union City might be one of the top 2 down there, no excuses.......even though if they came up to Cloudland High i would bet u anything the game would have game down to the end. Schedule us at our place next year if u dont believe me lol But i mean a Mr. BBALL with 13 pts across a 8th grade team as u say??? seems pretty sorry, but hey thats just me i guess. I for one, am VERY PROUD TO BE A LANDER! Keep ur head up boys and for the seniors, u did alot this season in the post season that hasnt been done in a long time and u should be proud, and for the underclassmen, just get better from this and we will be back in the BORO with a different result soon!!!!!!!!!!

I never said he was a joke, from what i saw he is a pretty decent player. Not a 25+ scoring player though. I think most of his pts come from just getting so many shots up really. Up at Cloudland i saw the kid shot atleast 30 times and ended with 15 pts. if he hit only half his shots a night or close he should have 30 pts, any player should with that many attempts a night. He even plays PG so he can just skip the middle man and just come straight down and jack it. its crazy.

Wow this game was crazy off the charts. It was a even played game all through the game really. Cloudland would go up 2 or 4 then UH would make a run and go up , etc... Cloudland got some great play by everyone that walked on the floor, the boys really played a good smart game and just out worked UH for the win! The refs had a few calls that could have put the Landers down and out near the end of the 4th, but Cloudland kept playing and made some big threes to force overtime, then went on to never trail in OT to win by around 6 and take first place in the Conference . UH got some hugh shoots late that were counted as threes even though the guys were clearly on the line. The only low point in this game was that #4 actually went as low as to SPIT on one of the Lander players. I dont know, but i think he should have been kicked out of the game. Can that be reviewed by TSSAA if the tape is sent in? and the kid be suspended? it should for sure be looked at! Other than that, a great game by both teams, and a big win in conference for the LANDERS!!!

Who has the highest avg on teams from Northeast TN? i heard crazy rumors that a south greene kid and a university high kid were avg 30 pts per game. haha its one of the many good jokes i have heard recently. I know the south greene kid ( kyle something) only had 14 or 15 against cloudland, so he would have had to score atleast 32+ pts in all other 13 games to avg that high. So lets hear some real facts and avgs around the area????? thanks guys

Whats going on with the Hampton people on here? Talking like you have the best team that has ever played high school football Yes maybe that is the case at your school. But there are many that would question even that. Hampton fans are on here saying that Cloudlands on here talking like they beat Cherokee, yeah they played a good game, and yes they lost at home. But what happen to Hampton against Johnson County, you played at home and LOST! Come on people from Hampton your not Unbeaten, both Cloudland and Hampton are good 1A schools (not great 1a schools, good 1a schools). They do a great job with the number of students they have and the equipment they get. And for the coaching being worst now at Cloudland, thats just a false statment. Yeah Coach Lunsford had one play, big deal, now hampton has that. Run up the middle! Good luck with that!

yeah these Threads do seem to get pretty stupid from time to time on here. This hampton stuff is really starting to get old though for sure, it kinda reminds me of something.........hmmm.........oh yeah UNAKA last year hahaha atleast they were unbeaten coming up to play us!!!! what has hampton done, oh yeah beat Jellico and Unicoi Co. good job guys, my bros 3rd and 4th grade team could beat Jellico hahaha and Unicoi, well i dont even have to say really. and i watched the Hampton/Johnson County game and i never saw anything to great. So whats with all the talking, i dont get it at all, why not focus on ur other games and try to win them first............sounds smart to me but then again i am not from Hampton so i dont know how u all think!!! I know personally i tell all the Highlander players the same thing when they try to waste time talking about Hampton, who cares, lets win out the rest of the games and work on improving what we need to and then be prepared and ready to play when the Hampton week comes! JUST THINK ABOUT THAT ONE FOR A MINUTE.

well well, the one game that i heard the team played their best, and i missed it! that stinks, but yeah i heard only good things so congrats to the highlanders for that!!! nothing to wins from here on out, good luck guys!
