  1. Roy Jones Jr. played for them in 2003, I didn't know Roy could ball.
  2. He couldn't attend his father had a stroke and they couldn't afford it. And lord knows the school wasn't going to help him.
  3. Until the defense started folding like they do behind all good pitchers @ SC. To whoever says they don't see players at camps/showcases. I was invited to the Young Guns showcase at Furman University with the likes of Chris Kirkland and Matt McGahey D-1 signees, I remember Butcher and Wilson from SC, I also remember several kids at Pro Concepts a camp organized by the Pittsburgh Pirates. Wilson was invited to the Young Guns national world series in Las Vegas.
  4. Is it really this important, to keep going on and on about. BOTTOM LINE IS PIGEON FORGE BEAT RIPLEY, quit crying and beat them next year if the chance arises. ITS OVER NOW, ITS OVER, ITS OVER. Congratulations Pigeon Forge, you guys made us EAST TENNESSEEANS proud.
  5. Glad to hear little Zurcher was all-district, I played with his brother Scott, they are really good people anybody know how scott did this season?
  6. Yes, there have been several coaches in the program in the past couple of years, the school shows no support of the baseball team and they don't get any money. When I played there the AD came to watch us play pigeon forge and sat on there side at our home field! They had Larry Cannon there 5 or 6 yrs. ago and he didn't want to stay because of this reason, but now he has taken the tigers to the state tourney.
  7. I personally think they need a feeder program so the kids know how to play when they get in high school ( I heard they started a middle school team), and they need a coach, not a drill sargeant. A good coach cares about his kids and their feelings plus the way the team is playing. Not about collecting his extra $500 or whatever they get paid. You can't get a 15-18 yr. old kid to listen to you by yelling at the top of your lungs, you have to connect with a kid and earn respect from him before he will listen to you. I played for many a coaches in my day and I've listened to everyone I respected, but I don't respect someone getting in my face and screaming at me. ITS BASEBALL NOT BOOT CAMP.
  8. Except they wouldn't come close to winning the last game, and they wouldn't all have fun like they did in the movie.
  9. Yeah he is gone, but I don't think he really did anything this year, he is a talented baseball player though. The girls basketball team isn't even good anymore. I guess coach wilhite is not going to talk anymore, he is gonna let his coaching do the talking. HAHAHAHAHA I was wondering do you think the school will let me do a movie on the baseball team, it would be the PERFECT re-make to the 1976 classic THE BAD NEWS BEARS!
  10. I have no idea who you're talking about, but I do know a few of the baseball players, including the one's who missed the district game, YES THAT IS A DIRECT REFLECTION OF THE COACHING, IF THEY LIKED YOU AND WANTED TO PLAY FOR YOU THEY WOULD HAVE BEEN THERE, IT'S NOT THAT THEY DON'T LIKE BASEBALL THEY DON'T LIKE YOU, ALONG WITH EVERYONE ELSE. Yes, I have noticed that Pigeon forge has taken some talent from SC, there was already one kid who transferred and he is in MEMPHIS right now. HAHAHAHAHAHA
  11. Cannon had 13 K's, while giving up 1 hit, retired 18 straight at one point, and only allowed 2 baserunners all night. Also hit a double in the 3rd to ignite a 4 run rally, and cleared the bases with a grand slam in the 6th.
  12. Looks to me like they need a new coach, what happened to all the kids that were on here defending him last year, ow wait they don't exist because no one likes him. I wonder how South Doyle's football team did this year. Why isn't Guru on here defending himself, do you wipe his butt for him too.
  13. I remember that game Sevier Co.'s pitcher threw a one hitter and scored the only run of the game. And the West game he hit a HR and the big boy pitched a great game. They don't get alot of talent because the Sevier little league program is horrible, but the coach runs off the few ballplayers they do get. I looked at the yearbook and on the baseball page the seniors listed their favorite things about baseball: Going to College Coach having a good day The other teams girlfriends Having a different coach every year of high school. If those statements from the seniors don't clear up why Sevier Co. stinks then I'm sorry, but it is pretty obvious to me. They had two guys that didn't even show up for the district game because coach ran them off.
